"You can never plan the future by the past."
I must say it is good to be back. For the past few weeks I have resided in our neighbour, the United Kingdom where for a very brief period of time I became quite involved in their politics. In the first week of being granted citizenship there I ran for congress for the sake of it, the Party President for some reason placed me as the 9th candidate on the list. Surprisingly I was elected as a British MP, this felt strange.
Straight after the election I swapped parties to New Era where I became involved with what they call a shadow government, I enjoyed this idea and it really created a whole new experience for the party and its members while not being in government. The plan was to publish articles on what the parties stance and opinion on current affairs were, they were published in a clean cut and professional manner and in my opinion made the political side of the game a lot more meaningful as a party was shown as having solid political beliefs. This is probably the only good thing I saw within New Era.
From this point on I began to settle into my real life summer holidays which have ceased to exist this year as I am working full time over the three long months I have off from school. With shortages of time I was left with no interest in contributing to British society and my attention returned to my home nation, Ireland.
She had been wiped for weeks now and there was sign of little hope, but when it was confirmed that the great Sweet Drinker was running for Country President, I was motivated and encouraged to have faith again in my beloved Ireland. I organised a massive Resistance War in Cork, one that proved to be close but in the end we lost by 0.09%. This left me absolutely broke, and it still has me broke.
My faith in Sweet Drinker as a President was proven to be correct when it was released to the public that Ireland and the UK had signed a NAP, we were not going to have all of our regions but we would have some, and that is better than nothing! If there is one bit of advice I can give, trust and obey Sweet Drinker. This man is a pure genius, this man made Ireland the richest nation per head of population, he knows game mechanics well and it is near impossible to find a flaw in his logic. Have faith in him as a person and as a CP.
With a nation on the map, with a congress elected I have now found myself back in my homeland. The nation where I have lived for my whole real life, and where I lived in eRepublik for over three years. I am back.I am not going to stir the pot, I am not going to dwell on the past but I am going to go about my business and help build a better eIreland. I have done great things before and I plan on doing so much more.
So for those who dislike me and are against me, leave me be. I am here to work peacefully for a stronger eIreland. Attacking me will only bring Ireland down.
Work with me for a better eIreland in public and everything will be perfect.
For those that are new since I left and do not know me, I welcome you to eIreland. It is always a pleasure to have new players around, feel free to message me any questions you have about the game and I will do my best to assist you.
For the next three weeks I plan on joining the Irish Army again and will be working as a Recruitment Officer. I've had plenty of experience in this field as I have been both Commander of the Irish Army and of Irish Boot Camp. Also when I first started being an officer in the Irish Army I was in charge of the newer players so this role is near enough to what I have done before.
On the political scene I plan on keeping my head down for a while, as long as Sweet Drinker is in charge I can sit back and watch the nation progress. I have decided to join the newest party on the scene the Society of United Irishmen as it presents itself to the public with what it believes in and how it stands on certain situations.
I have little else to say for now, it's a pleasure being home.
