(Congress) Dear eAustralia, lets use our national forums again.
Josh Whitehead
When i first became a citizen, originally from eUSA. I noticed eAustralia lacked one thing; forums.
Alas, i was very wrong. We do have an official forum...we just don't use them. Why? People are too lazy? They just don't care?
I'm not sure what the hype is all about not using them but Congress has begun talks on rebooting using the forums again. Realistically, it would be very beneficial for both ends.
Instead of hundreds of PMs that are produced back and forth and become clutter and lost in my messages. Congress, and we the people will have access tools that can make us better people.
It was brought up that about 5 or 6 people even used the damn forums. The bull chunk are we doing? For those who ever complain how governing system is ran but don't speak up, have no right to complain. A good citizen is an active one.
So remember to speak your mind up, kids. Your voices will be heard and since i am in Congress, its my duty to well....help contribute to make our community better. Sure, i have not written many articles since my first term here but i have been mother loving active behind the scenes. It's truly a great place to be.
The front page of articles have been....pale. not many people write these days but if you TRULY don't like something, speak your mind. You have every right to. Its also a great way on how i can be better at being a better Congressmen and to better serve you.
We might agree on some things or disagree on other topics. It just comes to the point of hearing what you have to say.
I'm not a damn mind reader. So, with that being said. Let's start using the forums again. An active citizen is a good citizen.
Here is where you can introduce your happy faces....

Another good thing of the forums is
- the previous terms work is visible for new congress members who want to know where it was left at
- the previous terms work is visible = transparency
- job roles of government figures can be stored, allows new members to see what to do if given a certain role
etc, etc
The job role thing is a great thing as handing over the information to someone that eventually leaves the game leaves the person who is still playing open to criticism about not leaving the role in a position that allows another to step in.
DING DING DING!

move to America.
we have content citizens, a wonderful Congress, amazing forums, low taxes, and.. AHHHHhahahahahahahahaaaa!!!
oh, hell, I couldn't even type that with a straight face.
Why stay? We have democratic government, low taxes and enough food bonuses that you'll probably make more per factory than stateside. Plus we don't take things personally. 🙂

Don't mind if I do....saitttttt a second
I tried my best to start trouble on eUSA forum but had no sucess. Gnilraps even gave me access to the PDR. The "problem" has been cried about for years. The real trick seems to be finding enough people who can muster an original thought.
It's worth trying again. Give me a few days to think how it could work (and to remember my password...) and I'll put out a CP update on it. We're overdue for one anyway. 🙂
What's old is new again! \o/
YES!
My username seems to already be taken?
oh well
You only just registered 20th Feb?
Try again to see if you can get in, I have just dicked with your setting so hopefully you shouldn't have a issue
We had good forums a long time ago but then a new crew thought they could do it all better... and the rest is history.
Where things go horribly wrong is when people try to make a forum more than it is (or should be). It's a place to communicate and post information, not a game show or for entertainment. Start with debates of Congressional affairs, provide a private area for sensitive info but let the public to view the discussion. Also good to provide an area where the public can post bitches/questions.
Of course "sekrit" stuff should not be visible to the public or enemies will know our plans.
