[Congress] But...how will we fund my sexy parties?!

Day 2,155, 07:34 Published in USA USA by dmjohnston

Hello America. It's me, DMJ. I'm pretty busy this month. DoD, Congress...ok so maybe that's just two things. But that's a lot of things!

Earlier this month, or maybe the end of last month (who really knows, I'm certainly too drunk to remember), Congress discussed the idea of reducing the current Work Tax rate from 10% to 7%. It was heavily debated. It was a tight vote. Ultimately, the measure was voted down and the 10% tax remained.

People were upset. "Why would congress want to oppress us with taxes?" they asked. We told them we didn't want to oppress them. Relief was coming already. They were skeptical.

Two days ago, the promised day, October 12th, arrived.

On October 12th, the Average Wage was 27.53 USD, meaning that the price per click of working as manager was 2.75 USD

On October 13th, the Average Wage dropped over 30% to 18.67 USD, a price per click of working as manager of 1.87 USD

The pattern continued today when the Average Wage dropped again to 14.04 USD for a combined reduction of nearly 50%.

What does this mean to you? It means that WAMing is once again afforable. If you WAM'd during the 5% tax, you can WAM now for the same price, basically.

What does it meant to the government? Our tax revenue has fallen dramatically. If we had reduced the rate back then, the impact would have been even more severe.

We knew this was coming and we acted accordingly to continue to rebuild our reduced reserves and put us in a better position now that revenues have fallen. Feeling better about things now?

Now you can see why we did what we did. And knowing is half the battle. The other half is cocaine.
