Trabajadores del mundo, uníos!

Soy un novato, pero tras unirme al Bloque Obrero me unido apasionadamente a la tarea de construir relaciones internacionales. Como sabréis, el Bloque Obrero es un colectivo de izquierdas en eEspaña, que no sólo es en estos momentos la segunda fuerza política en el parlamento, sino también una red de cooperativas bajo control obrero, la raiz de una columna obrera para la liberación de pueblos oprimidos y la lucha contra el imperialismo y una fundación para la promoción de la cultura y la justicia social. Este artículo no representa políticas oficiales del BO, sino mis puntos de vista personales.



Me uní a la tarea de construir vínculos internacionales para el BO, quizá porque personalmente soy extremadamente anti-nacionalista... vamos, que soy esperantista y todo! El BO no es anti-nacionalista, pero sí que es un grupo pacifista y anti-imperialista. En mi esfuerzo por establecer amistades internacionales, las dificultades principales que he encontrado han sido argumentos a favor del nacionalismo, o contra el pacifismo. Escribo esto para aclararme yo misma, y con suerte para que alguien más entienda mi postura.



Sobre la guerra... generalmente se dice que es una parte necesaria del juego, tanto por motivos económicos como por la diversión (para muchos, al menos). No puedo sino estar de acuerdo. Aún así, hay muchas formas de practicar la actividad militar. Siempre que se quiera, se pueden hacer maniobras militares amistosas con un vecino, de forma que las dos partes ganan experiencia y le dan un empujón a la economía, y nadie desperdicia oro si no quiere. Complementariamente, también se puede guerrear por la libertad de pueblos oprimidos, o para combatir imperios que amenacen la estabilidad de una región. Estas dos prácticas son compatibles entre sí y con una ideología antiimperialista, y -casi- con un punto de vista pacifista. Vale, igual pacifista-pacifista no, pero sí que es mejor que lo de "vamos a petar a los vecinos, pa' la risa", y probablemente pueda dar lugar a un juego más interesante, a medio plazo.



Sobre el orgullo nacional... se dice también que sin nacionalismo no hay eR. Admito que hay mucho de verdad en eso. Aún así, de nuevo, hay muchos tipos posibles de orgullo nacional. A mí me gustaría competir con nuestras compañeras y compañeros del Partido Cuamunista en Francia, para ver quién consigue más escaños, o incluso para ver quién consigue la primera presidencia. O un pique con las milicias de
Revolution Industries o el Red Ant Front a puntos en una liberación anti-imperialista. Sin duda, siento cierto orgullo nacional al ver que la red de cooperativas en eEspaña es mayor que la de comunas en el eReino Unido. Y siento cierta envidia al ver cómo "Le Canard Dechainé" demuestra que los anarquistas franceses saben reirse de sí mismos... sería genial tener algo similar en España, quizá haciendo alguna coña con la CNT.

Hay muchas formas de competir y muchas de guerrear que no nos impedirían formar lazos de amistad y solidaridad internacional sanos y duraderos entre grupos de ideologías similares. Y de eso es lo que se trata, en mi opinión.

Workers of the World, Unite!

I'm a very new player, but after joining the Bloque Obrero I have passionately taken a share in the task of building international relations. As you may or may not know, the Bloque Obrero is a leftist collective in eSpain, which is not only currently the second political force in the Parliament but also a network of worker-managed cooperatives, the root of a military worker column that has as goal the liberation of oppressed people and the fight against imperialism and a foundation for the promotion of culture and social justice. This article is not written on behalf of the BO: it's my personal point of view as a member.



I joined in the task of building international links for the BO, perhaps because I'm personally as anti-nationalist as it gets.... I mean, I speak esperanto and all! The BO is not anti-nationalist, but they are a pacifist and anti-imperialist group. In my efforts to make international friendships, the main difficulties I have encountered are pro-nationalist and anti-pacifism arguments. I'm writing this to try and clarify my point of view for myself, and hopefully make some valid points for someone else.




About war... It's usually argued that it is a necessary part of the game, both for economic reasons and for fun (for many, at least). I agree with both points. Still, there are many ways of engaging in military activity. As often as one likes, one can play friendly war-games with a neighbor, where both sides get experience and a boost to the economy, and no-one wastes any gold they don't want to waste. Complementary, one can also wage wars for freedom, to liberate oppressed peoples, to combat empires that menace the stability of a region. Both of these ways would be compatible with an anti-imperialist stance, and -almost- with a pacifist point of view. Well, OK, maybe not so much with the pacifists, but it's still way better than the "let's crush our neighbor just for the lulz" attitude, and arguably it also can give rise to a more interesting game in the long run.



About national pride... It is also argued that without nationalism there is no eR game. I admit that might be true, to a great extent. Still, and again, there are many ways to display and compete for national pride. I'd be happy to engage in a healthy competition with our brothers and sisters of the Partí Koinmuniste in France for "let's see who manages to get more seats in our national parliament!", or even "let's see who gets a national presidency first!". Or a match with the militias of Revolution Industries or the Red Ant Front for points in a anti-imperialist liberation. I certainly feel some kind of nationalistic pride in seeing that the network of coops in Spain is more vast than the communes in eUK. And I do feel some national envy by seeing how "Le Canard Dechainé" shows the ability of the french anarchists to laugh about themselves... it would be great to have something similar in Spain, perhaps making a joking reference to the CNT.

There are many ways to compete and many ways to wage war that won't stop us from building long-lasting, healthy international bonds of friendship and solidarity among groups of similar ideology. And that's what I'm aiming for.
