[CoC] Activity report

Dear Citizens of the eNetherlands,

Every month, people are chosen to make decisions for the Netherlands. This takes place in Congress. Not every chosen person, doing enough with this right. It is desirable that the elected members participate in more than 75% of the voting within Congress. Below you can see a summary with the activity of congress in the subjects that came to a vote in the term started at the end of February. Further down you can read more information on the subjects in the second half of the term.

Excluding M. de Ruyter from government positions
M. de Ruyter was involved in the so called ‘Mercenary scandal’. 20K cc of that bill was payed by Kordak, the other player involved. A demand that M. de Ruyter payed an equal part of the bill instead of the 10K cc he did was put to a vote, punishment would be that M. de Ruyter couldn’t have a government position until the payment was done. The proposal was turned down by congress.

Non Aggressive Pact with eBelgium
A NAP treaty was written by our government and the government of eBelgium. Congress didn’t see an additional value for our country with this NAP and turned it down.


Term: March (1/3)

Only a third of current term has passed, but we have had five votes already. Here you can see the activity in those five votes.

Revising mercenary bill
Congress decided that the previous motion to pay the full mercenary bill should be revised. The result is that we now pay only a part of the bill. So far, the military unit has not taken any actions against this new approach.

New government budget
A Bill has passed changing the way the government can lawfully work with cc and gold. Here are some effects of the change:
- Government budget is now defined by the tax income of the current month, instead of those from the previous month
- Congress tax is now part of the government budget
- Government is now forced to use at least 25% of its budget for saving on the EF when it falls below the minimum set by law
- The Defense budget is removed.

Forum registration bonus
The forum registration bonus has been changed from the previous 250cc to 100cc with the option to claim three times 50cc after every month. This means the amount stays the same but a longer span of activity is required.

Dissolve DIAS
DIAS was a project containing the management of the embassies and espionage. As the project never took off after its approval, congress decided to dissolve it and give the tasks back to MoFA.

NAP with eBelgium II
With a newly elected congress, one without bugged elections, and message defending the importance of it, congress accepted the NAP treaty between eNL and eBE.
