Economics is not all about complicated formulas and cumbersome theories. On the contrary, economics can be clear and simple.

The greatest challenge with any economic policy is to generate profit. Within the general confines of erepublik, having different region bonuses and constant battles is all it takes! Obviously, some countries will do better than others. Fortunately, we have an opportunity to generate a small income from 2 (connected) region bonuses, renting the other 2 and arbitrage trading. The details of our rental deal will be expanded on in my Military and Foreign Affairs manifesto. This document however, will outline how all government funds will be managed.




Bank of Switzerland

The Bank of Switzerland will be controlled by a single chairman that will be the only one responsible for allocating budgetary funds. By keeping this system in place, it will protect our country’s funds from being exploited or overspent. Our goal is to stick to a budget of 40% of the country’s income. Below I have outlined how the budget will be spent on investing in different minitries.



Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance’s main function will be to boost our income. The MoF will use its allocated portion of the budget to exploit the monetary market to make a profit. This profit will be donated to the Bank of Switzerland, in order to build up our reserves. In addition, I propose a new taxation system, where more Swiss citizens will benefit unlike the current system. The new system would benefit the vast majority of citizens who depend on a job as their main source of income rather than the minority who profit from the products they sell on the market. To achieve this, income tax would be reduced by 5% and VAT increased by 10%. The MoF will also monitor our treasury and work closely with congress to ensure that our system is flexible.

These plans have been made as simple and clear as possible. By achieving the goals outlined here, we will increase our financial stability for months to come.
