[BOK] Do you want a job in the government? (Running for CP)

Introduction
I am running again for President. After seeing my last campaign and vision, the Independent Party has decided to immediately put me up for candidate again. This gave me a lot of time to think about what to set as goals.

Main “MUST ACHIEVE” goals
My two main goals are things that have gone terribly wrong the last months: I want to achieve a CP that listens to Congress and full transparency. Note that I am not blaming anybody, but I would like to give two examples to support my vision:

We have a law that advises the CP/PM to publish their articles in a separate official newspaper. (To be exactly: “To strongly advise all official government public announcements only to be made into the existing official government newspaper, and not their personal newspapers.”) This law was accepted with 15 YES and 8 NO: almost 2/3 majority. Still, numerous official articles have been published in personal newspapers. A President should not put such a strongly supported advice besides him, even if he doesn’t agree with it. I feel a President should listen to the Congress Members that are elected directly by the people! As President, I will carefully listen to the Congress. I will also raise polls on the forum to obtain advice of all UNL citizens: it’s fun to participate, whoever you are!

Transparency has also had a lot of points in time where it went wrong. Last time was that I woke up and we suddenly “owned” a huge part of England. Without going into detail about the motives and possible impact on our future, I was shocked to find no explanation at all. I didn’t even know if England was still on our (Phoenix) side! Fortunately, AndreasIsaksson published an article with a link to a UK article explaining what our President had done, and why. For the recor😛 AI was NOT our CP or government official, so this most important news of last month was made known by a citizen – just a “man in the street”. My second promise is therefore: I will achieve full transparency by publishing an article – or at least a shout – when making important actions that will impact us all.

I hope Congress will immediately impeach me if I would violate any of the goals above: a good communication with Congress and all citizens, and giving transparency whenever possible.

Other goals
My other goals remain the same as promised last month, as they are not yet (fully) achieve😛
- We will join a training war, as current MPPs don't offer us structural wars. [Note that this will have to be done after the UK battle end]
- Coaching articles will be advertised, so new citizens will see them. [Note that in the meantime a law has been accepted to get this into place; I will see to it that this is going to be implemented.]
- The weekly news will be published again... weekly.

Government structure

The government structure will be more or less the same as proposed last month, with the exception that – based on feedback – the Ministry of ERS (former R&C) will remain as an independent ministry, and not under MoII. The minister of ERS is responsible for all R&C activities. There’s still an “recruitment” and “coaching” organization below it, because I don’t think a minister can do all those tasks on his own, and still be fully effective (we all have RL duties besides the game, right?)

I have raised a poll on the forum a while ago about whether we should merge the MoE and MoF. 53% was in favor of merging, against 42% in favor of keeping them separated (9% voted neutral). Based on these results, the MoE will disappear. However, as it was a close call, I will keep a separate department in, so that someone takes over the tasks of the MoE.

I will publish an article with full goals for each ministry soon, and with the people I have in mind on certain spots, but my previous article gives a good illustration already.
