[Boh] Congressional Report 3

Day 1,873, 16:25 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Bohemond4

As promised, once again I feature another report on my time in Congress, and hopefully take your mind of the CP race.

The first law we had to deal with was a change of income tax from 3% to 1%. Now, you may remember that I opposed the change from 5% in the first place, so it must come as no surprise that I refused to vote yes for this, casting my vote in the naysayers camp. I did this as I believe that while we as citizens have a right to cash, we also have a duty to support the govt and our wonderful nation. The vote ended, 17:17 with the tax remaining the same.

Next on our agenda recently has been an alliance with Slovakia, which I voted in favour of. This passed, 34:2 and thus we retain an MPP with another TWO nation.

Another law change, this time minimum wage, was proposed. Sadly, this passed. I voted against this the reason being is that the current minimum wage is set to avoid massive increases in costs in goods. Sure, most of us earn a lot of money, have high wages, most ignore the small amounts, unless we have a deal. However, the base cost, as I am led to believe, is measured of this minimum wage. Vote ended 17:16.

We have had a steady 35+ members of Congress voting, less than we had at the start of this month, but there have been a few votes that could have seen abstaining, or we could just be seeing growth in inactivity. Either way, these will need to be monitored.

This is all for this update thanks for reading!

Cheers
