You are for the second time on the wrong side of the battle. And you are for the second time abandoned by your allies who happen to have other priorities.

What priorities more exactly? To keep their colonies. What about your colonies? Oh, I forgot, you don't have any. And you will not have any as long as you keep being in the wrong alliance.

eRepublik is a game of numbers. Bigger numbers always win.

Bulgaria and Serbia have roughly equal Real Life populations. However that is not the case in eRepublik. Why? Because Serbia has a solid source of baby-booms: Croatia. How about Bulgaria?

In theory Bulgaria has scores to settle with all her in-game neighbors: Serbia, Romania, Turkey and Greece. In practice however a war with Romania or Greece is not as good at triggering a baby boom as a war with Turkey or Serbia would be (with Turkey on the top position by far).

So not only Bulgaria is in the wrong alliance, one which only uses you without giving you anything in return. Bulgaria is allied with her only real sources of baby-boom: Turkey and Serbia.

It would be like Hungary allied to Romania or Croatia with Serbia! Best way to kill a baby boom forever.

We contacted the Bulgarian government for ages, trying to make arrangements which would be mutually beneficial for everybody. Melliores wrote an article but his article does not tell the whole story.

So here is the real Romanian proposal:

Bulgaria, Romania and Greece go together to Asia. Turkey is a source of baby-boom for both Bulgaria and Greece. So as long as there are wars with Turkey both the Bulgarian and Greek players have something interesting to do in-game.

Next to Turkey is the weak Iran. Iran has 3 high grain and 3 high oil regions. Grain is going to be almost as valuable as iron and titanium in V2 because food will be the only way to restore lost wellness once the gifts disappear. Oil will increase in importance in V2 but it's still interesting even today. We offered Bulgaria high grain and high oil. How bad is that?

What is more important is this: even if Iran manages to recover their high grain and high oil by RW, going there means crossing Turkey again. And again. And again. That means permanent fun and the consolidation of each and every baby boom.

So basically Bulgaria has 2 choices now:

1. To keep being just an instrument for other powers to maintain control of their colonies and be abandoned again and again. The alliance is a road that goes both ways: they have fun and colonies but so should you. In Phoenix you can never have colonies nor a solid baby-boom. And you will always be sacrificed for the "higher interests of the alliance";

2. To decide that she is in the wrong alliance. Joining EDEN you can fight the enemies which provide you baby boom, fun and high regions.

The choice is yours.
