eAustria - Over and over again

I'm playing this game now for more than 4 years like an ON-OFF-switch. Sometimes for days, sometimes longer. But one thing is always the same: the political weakness of eAustria and its impossibility to get strong or even stay constant with a steady and stable government with active players. Well, there is a positive thing: eAustria was still there - till yesterday. Once again, our "friends" have been ordered to wipe us out, just because there is - again, like always - a possible PTO (for all newbies: political take over) from United Austria, a party with 36 members. Really? Okay, I think it's hard to cultivate friendships with neighboring countries, but getting wiped out all the time when there are elections is kind of idiotic. How should anything change when there is no congress and so no administration beside of the very active (hello?) government. One thing, spoken out loud, should be in everyones mind by now: How long will it take to get permanently wiped out by either SIRIUS or ASTERIA, the 2 new alliances between us? There won't be this funny region-swapping with our "friends" anymore, just because there are potential PTOers in our country - because we won't have any by then. So stop whining around because of PTOers and let's live! Let's play this game, and not just protect it like in the past.

Let's talk about the region-swapping: What the hell? Just because someone's as* is getting bust, we have to help our "friends" by letting them wipe us out? "Oh yeah cool thing, there are elections soon, let's combine it and have some fun in getting wiped out so PTOers can't do anything one month again!"
I want you, dear government officials, think about another thing: what about us? The citizens? Do you really think that new players will stay here, if this thing continues over and over again? I think there are a bunch of players leaving every month because of the instability and missing communication in eAustria, and that can be solved easily by just trying to stay strong, by not caving in for other countries. Find alliances, find friends. Get MPPs. Thats the game! And honestly: how should United Austria, with its 36 members, PTO eAustria? Think about it.


Factors of success

Here are some negative aspects that should be mentioned. Maybe it is just me that is feeling like that, so state it in the comments:

1. Communication
Dear Mr. President yst31, dear Prime Minister Prince of Austria, dear now feeling concerned government officials. How should eAustria stay solid or maybe grow if the politicians themselves are so weak? One main criteria is the communication. How can you be even happy in your position if you are not even able to communicate with the citizens and other countries? How can you stay out of IRC, the most important communication platform for eRepublik (for everybody: #eaustria at Rizon)? It is important for everybody that you, the government officials, can be contacted (not just through PMs) and it would also look better if you present yourselves more active and IRC is a good way to do that. Just posting orders through the shout-box ingame to a fraction of eAustria is not the way to go - you won't be able to reach the whole public.

It is not that hard to inform the citizens. eRepublik offers a function called "newspaper", ever heard of it? Dear ministers, government representatives, what about using it? yst31 is the only one writing an article a week, speaking about - okay, not that much - stuff concerning eAustria. But to be honest, stop being government officials if you are not able to play this role like it is supposed to be. Ministers HAVE to communicate with the citizens. Otherwise the will be impeach by their citizens (an😛 it's happening). Either stop this ghost government and play active again or quit your official position and leave the ministry to more active politicians. Because how should a ghost government be able to (ATTENTION: dreaming out loud) reclaim our territory and get eAustria their at least 8 regions back? Not happening like that...

I'm sorry for the guys who read the article til now because they thought there would be some funny parts of something. Fact is: there is no fun here. Someone has to whine, to say it out loud what a bunch of players think. If eAustria will be led by 2-clickers further on, it happens eAustria right if it is getting extinguished from the eMap.

Following points should be mentioned too, so government officials see that these functions are still possible (sarkasm, hi). Since it is worthless writing long paragraphs about following points anyway, maybe just think about it for the near future and let eAustria get strong or just stable again. Otherwise - nothing will happen. eAustria will suck like it does at the moment. Think about following:
2. Alliancen, MPPs, ...?
3. Population - Babyboom, anything?


Just my 2 cents. It's really nothing personal. Just don't let eAustria suffer like you do at the moment.

Alle Jahre wieder

Seit nunmehr 4 Jahren sehe ich immer wieder in das Spiel rein. Mal kürzer, mal länger. Und was auffällt - es ist immer dasselbe: aufgrund politischer Schwäche ist eAustria immer das Land, das zurückstecken muss und es nicht schafft, sich aufzuraffen und sich zu vergrößern. Dabei muss man natürlich auch positiv dazusagen, dass es nicht leicht ist, als Land in Zentraleuropa zu überleben. Doch gerade auch deswegen wäre es nicht gerade negativ, in naher Zukunft auf Freunde und Allianzen zurückzugreifen und eventuell langsam einmal laut auszusprechen, was viele denken: Wenn bald nichts passiert, wird eAustria entweder an SIRIUS oder ASTERIA gehen (und wir sind nunmal mittendrin), und dann ists vorbei mit dem ständigen Region-Swapping.

Da wären wir schon beim nächsten Thema: Regionen-Tausch mit "Freunden", nur weil denen gerade mal der A*sch aufgerissen wird oder weil bei uns schon wieder PTOer rumwuseln. In diesem Spiel gab es schon immer PTO-nahe Parteien, doch das ganze Land auszulöschen, nur weil mal wieder Kongresswahlen anstehen, ist sowas von irrsinnig und nahezu sinnlos, dass man es eigentlich gar nicht von einem pro-österreichischen Präsidenten erwarten würde, es von anderen Ländern zu fordern und es den Mitbürgern positiv zu verkaufen. Schonmal überlegt, dass sich auf diese Art und Weise genau gar nichts ändern kann? Ohne Kongress -> keine politischen Änderungen, keine sinnvolle Administration. Und mal ein kleines Update für alle ach so aktiven Staatsvertreter: soll United Austria mit 36 Mitgliedern ernsthaft dem Kongress schaden können? Ich denke kaum 😉


Erfolgsfaktoren

Auch wenn es vielleicht nichts bringt, möchte ich einige negative Aspekte aufzählen, die mir in letzter Zeit aufgefallen sind. Sollte nur ich persönlich das Gefühl haben und es eigentlich anders sein, kommentiert einfach unterhalb:

1. Kommunikation
Lieber Herr Präsident yst31, lieber Ministerpräsident Prince of Austria, liebe sich nun auch angesprochen gefühlte Staatsvertreter. Was soll aus eAustria werden, wenn es schon alleine an den Politikern hakt? Dabei ist eines mal wieder sehr klar: es fehlt an der Kommunikation. Gerade IRC (#austria unter Rizon) ist eine wichtige Plattform, für Fragen und Antworten erreichbar zu sein - egal ob für Mitbürger oder für andere Länder. Doch leider ist es so wie des öfteren - Anweisungen bezüglich Wiederstandskämpfe oder Kampfanweisungen kommen über die Shout-Box, die nur für einen Bruchteil der Bürger zugänglich ist.

Dabei wäre es nicht schwer, die Bürger zu informieren. eRepublik bietet eine Funktion, die sich "Zeitung" nennt. Liebe Minister, liebe Staatsvertreter - wie wäre es, diese zu nutzen? yst31 alleine schafft es, jede Woche einen Artikel zu schreiben. Dabei wäre es nicht schlecht, auch einmal von anderen Ministern zu hören, gegebenfalls sogar zu sehen, warum sie bestellt worden sind. Oder soll solch eine Geister-Regierung wirklich dafür sorgen können, dass aus eAustria mal wieder was werden soll und eventuell sogar (ACHTUNG: jetzt wird geträumt!) 8 Bundesländer inne hält? Eher nicht.

Nungut, es tut mir für die Leute leid, die den Artikel bis zu diesem Punkt gelesen haben, und nicht belustigt worden sind oder nun nicht mal voten möchten, da es sich nur nur politisches Rumgeheule handelt. Fakt ist, dass diese Punkte angesprochen werden müssen, denn wenn das Land von 2-Klickern regiert wird, geschieht es eAustria nur recht, wenn es immer wieder ausgelöscht wird und als Backup-Region für angrenzende Länder agiert.
Die folgenden Punkte möchte ich nur anstreifen, aber es einmal auszusprechen soll nur ausdrücken, dass es diese Funktionen immer noch im Spiel gibt (wer Sarkasmus findet, darf ihn behalten). Da es sowieso nichts bringt, über folgende Themen große Absätze zu schreiben, möchte ich sie nur thematisch Ansprechen und im Raum stehen lassen. Macht euch mal Gedanken darüber, ob es nicht mal sinnig wäre, folgende Punkte in naher Zukunft anzustreben:

3. Population - Babyboom, anything?

Soviel dazu fürs erste. Um das nochmal deutlich zu machen, soll der Artikel keinen persönlich angreifen oder beleidigen. Doch wenn ihr eAustria helfen wollt, macht was dagegen und wenn ihr es nicht könnt, überlasst es anderen.
