[Ashwamedh] The Rocket Puzzle

Guys,
Im no great economist but on having looked at this rocket upgrade, I am intrigued enough to write an article. This is definitely a very interesting change and will be good for the economy. Not only that, it will benefit the tanks as well...so all in all, something I find pretty much win-win.

To make sense of things, I sat down to calculate (spurred by Bharathi Mohan's calculations)

This is what he wrote
"Let me understand - for 1 Mn rocket, u need 100 of all tanks -100*100(sum of all tank cost at older price)+1000CC = 11,000CC" (thanks Mohan!)
Now considering the boost to weapon prices this gives, add maybe an inflation of 30% (due to sudden weapon price spike) and you get a final borderline price of about 14,000 currency. For ease of understanding let's consider it as being 15000 currency which would mean...

I get 1 million damage for 15 gold. (and I can even buy it in currency as opposed to having to shell out gold!)

Compare this with the current way of buying damage...
Buy 10 Energy Bars at a "discounted" rate of 39 gold! I make 13996 per Q6 hit (without NE bonus) so that would mean, for 39 gold I get only 1.4 million! (add to it the Q6 costs which will also rise now thanks to this rocket business)

Its clear that this is a better option for me as long as the price is right and isn't excessive!

There are negatives too...players would want to have all factories to try and reduce dependence on inflated market costs BUT this would mean that RM owners will ALSO get a boost!
So, all in all, this is definitely revolutionary and is bound to pep up the dead economy. NOT ONLY FOR TANKS...BUT FOR EVERY CITIZEN!
Good change as far as I am concerned, but I have always been an economy noob, so I would like to hear your thoughts.

PS : As a last minute edit ... this will help newbies too. How? they will get paid better as company owners seek more employees to make more weapons, and most of the newbies will get their weapons and food from their MU anyway! The only real losers here seem to be those dependent on food sales for profits.

PPS : What's interesting is that the admins ALSO WIN with players looking to buy the rocket factory and others looking to buy RM or weapon factories. This is that rare idea that could perhaps make a huge difference to all... admins included!

So who should build the factory?
1. Rich businessmen who already have most Q factories, cos it will not impact them too much.
2. Tanks for sure since this gives them an additional punt at more gold. The last minute BH and CH stealing takes on a new dimension. Picture this - Tank 1 with 9 mil for the campaign including 1.5 mil for the final BH. Tank 2 at 800K and 8.5 mil for the campaign. Last 5 seconds... boom, drop this on your opponent and take away 10 G! All in all, an expense of 5 G + you just helped your nation with a ton of damage!
Who should AVOID creating this?
1. Lower and mid level players who only have maybe 1-2 Q factories. The expense into setting this one factory up is too much as compared to the profit you can make hiking weapon prices on the market for those who need the weapons for their rocket factories.
2. I just realised (again thanks to Mohan!) that rockets cannot be stockpiled, so that makes Q1-Q2 rockets pretty useless as compared to the cost involved. Only Q3 and Q4 make sense which means you need quite a bit of gold! If you are not the gold buyer types... stay away and instead upgrade your weapon factories.

Bad side is that you don't get rank points when you fire one of those rockets so someone like me would rather take those 100q6 weapons and hit whit them than using them to make 1 rocket.....
Also knowing how much RM is out there I really doubt prices of RM will raise at all.
People like me shall remain on the sidelines... plotting and moving checkpieces armed to the teeth in machiavellian ways!

@ avenging wrath - I would say it only makes sense to have the rocket factory if you have most of the other quality factories. RM is cheap so getting hold of enough is not a problem. Weapons will increase in cost, I would say max profit will be for Q3-Q4 owners.
Rocket factory will only give you 1 rocket a day - maybe a Q1 rocket factory may be a gamble worth taking...if nothing else then for personal use at least - you can stockpile the rockets to unleash when you really want a BH.
you cannot stockpile rocket.. only 1 rocket storage allowed..
my gut instinct says its best to let the tanks build the rocket factories...normal citizens will make mush more profit fuelling their factories ... and once you have saved up enough, you could go for buying one off the market or slowly setting up your own.
I myself have not built one...anyway I intend to gift that rocket (if i make the factory) to my MU people...: D
@ Mohan - im not sure that is true...you can only CREATE 1 rocket a day. I havent found anything that says you cannot keep storing the rockets you build, to use for a rainy day?
Scratch that ... Mohan you are correct... so only 1 rocket a day, has to be used (or sold?)
@ AvengingWrath - in that case Im not quite sure 50,000 worth of damage will be of much use... might as well earn big on other weapons!

Everythings on Wiki mate (about 1 rocket and donating). Also rocket factory cant be sold or moved (its special shit)
Also, rocket factory for me is just 16 golds, so I bought it. Look, if one guy like me can buy q1 q2 and q3 factories for such a low price, and also RM factories, he can get rocket pretty much easier.
If he is making 16 weps daily, than he can sell 6 daily and other use for his rocket. He calculate his expenses (which are low for division 2) and then sell damage on #mercenaries
This boosted economy but it will boost admins pocket for sure. This is the biggest win he had since I`m playing this game. Simply genus... Btw, right now q4 factories will be very very special, as there is no much q4 factory owners, but if you really reconsider it, it will take 3-4 years to return money with even 10 workers!

I believe your approximations are close to the real figures. So I suppose that very soon only the wealthy guys will have incentive to build rockets. This is bad news for me as I created a lvl 1 factory today, but at least I did not spend that much gold.
Ah thanks Ash bhai your article cleared my confusion. So its not a bad update for me as for everyone else but rockets are useless as far as I am concerned except when I have to fight in serious war.

I think there should be a few active players of every "division" itself having one factory,the point is,that in a war now,with divisions,you cant depend on tanks only and a few rocketeers in every division would do wonders for countries,thats why Im gonna go for a q2,for the day India needs it *evil.grin*

This is wrong.
I would calculate with 14.000 cc instead of 15.000 cc and currency rate of 2500.
That is 5.6 Gold / million.
Considering that the market is reacting fast on increased demand, I assume that in about 10 days the cost will be just 12.000 and the currency rate at 2800, which means 4.3 Gold.
For BH purposes this is not so sexy, but for regular battles yes, it is
So here in eIreland, immediate effects are WRMs had initially doubled, now they are at 150% of previous prices. q5 Weaps-Cos are getting downgraded for gold and the q4 weaps are now comparatively the most expensive to buy. Wages have risen, but USA wages are even higher, so people are considering short term moves to work. Govt is in a panic as its moneymaking voodoo mojo has now "90%% gone"
Will be interesting to see how MU's use the new features to tool-up divisions below div4
