[Ashwamedh] An Important Message To All Indians

Hi guys,

We have seen the pleasant and the unpleasant side of everything ... we have seen accusations, opinions flying about and we have seen even worse, especially today.

Let me apologise for any hurt caused to anyone... Im just tired of all the stuff happening and am more than happy to take all the brickbats and also apologise for anything nasty that happened.

One important and sad thing that has occured is what I hope never happens again.

A certain group of players (not known to me) were responsible for accusing Wildquark of something pretty ugly ... something akin to harassment, which led her to quit the game. and yes, they were INDIANS, not UAgg (in case you might think that) and the reason also was nothing to do with the game and general polity. I hope this is the first and last instance of such shameful behaviour... as it belittles the ones who did it.

Please treat women with respect even if you find them on the opposite side of the fence!

The time has come now to play the game as a game... lets play it fairly and honourably and try not to hurt each other. We may dissent but remember this is ONLY a game... fight, argue... but please forget all of it and begin anew everytime you meet up again. All this infighting leading to real hatred within players of the same country is just very sad and I request everyone to bury the hatchet please and start afresh.

There have been instances where seniors feel they have not had the respect they deserve ... and I accept that yes, at times mistakes have happened in the heat of the moment. Mistakes happen, we are all falliable.

All I request is for everyone to let the past behind and get back to the table to work together in the interest of India.

After a long time, India stands on the cusp of really becoming a strong nation... we are having decent strength in D1 and D2... much more than I can ever remember and these youth will be the future D3 and D4 warriors.

Let us not forget that it was due to the efforts of the Retention team and also efforts by Sam (UV Ajed) ... who has spent his time and money advertising and trying to get new players in. Some people would disagree with the way he went about things, but hell, its a game!!! he did what he felt was right, maybe he made mistakes, but come on - since how long has anyone seen India this agitated, energetic, bubbling over with aggression?

Its been wonderful to see and we really need to keep it up. Does anyone remember how dull and sleepy India was not so long ago?

This article is primarily to get us all to work together and I request all those who wish to be part of various departments to please come forward and volunteer. There is no marginalisation at all... its just that things are really very messy and Sam has tried to do too much on his own without truly delegating.

The coming elections see Xordin and Sam standing to get elected. On a personal level I quite like them both (and I really have to have a few drinks with xordin one of these days!!! 😃) On an FA/diplomacy level, I do not know who will do a "better" job, cos hindsight is always 20-20 and everyone learns from the past. What I will say... the main reason I came back to the game was because Sam told me his true priorities - get a strong Indian population and treat it as his number one priority. he also showed me the good work the team had already done and it was impressive. THAT is the united India that is required to take us to the next level.

THIS to my mind is the only thing that will earn us the clout we deserve. As you can see, our population has DEFINITELY increased and we have more active players. I am confident we can pull this off.

Remember one thing, whether we are in EDEN or CoT - I can proudly say we have always played honourably and that is what all CPs should stick to. Whichever side the next CP takes, he best keep that in mind.

Please help make a really strong India... I sense we are THIS close to it...please do not quit on things now.

To be honest the most important reason I have always supported and admired CoT is their track record of helping small nations get baby booms and of helping them sustain the booms. A couple of success stories are Chile and Peru...and I know for sure the great brotherhood that exists and I really hope we will take a few ideas from Bulgaria that will help us get that elusive boom.

Stick together guys, India WILL boom and the Serbithais will realise they tried to mess with the wrong people. 🙂

Good article, it's a game but it's played by people. In my opinion the people who trolled Quark should be named and shamed. Unfortunately that can prove to be very difficult owing to falsified PM's and logs.

India is great. It can be really great though. But first it needs a proper democratic government.

I think that Wildquark is one of the toughest female players in the game today. Sometimes, when push comes to shove, a little space is needed. I think that's what she's probably doing & that she'll come back soon.

I don't see the point of naming names. Sooner or later, everyone will know who they were... will know the truth... it's pretty much the way of everything in this game, eventually people realize & make decisions accordingly.

Wildquark will come back.

Until this new term, until the Croatia issue, I was motivated to stay in the game by a few ppl... I dont have the motivation anymore... I cant stand the fact that yesterday's friends will be tomorrow's enemies.. Very soon I will come up with an article... I think its time for me to say Good Bye!!! 🙂

Well said brother. While I may be very (VERY) vocal in my disagreement with some things, I do think think that a key group of people care and I do want the community to grow and be more active. We can all agree on this.

@navincharles; I implore you to stay a bit longer, regardless of what happens with our allies, a major alliance shift is going to happen and we will likely be friends with some old allies for many more years.
