[Asgard HQ] News and information
Asgard HQ
Poland releases Finnish and Swedish regions
Poland has announced that they will give up Finnish and Swedish regions, with the execption of Smaland, where Poland aims to guard Swedish cows.
Estonian and Latvian players read about Poland leaving - again.
This means that RW's should go smoothly. Poland will be organising RH hunting at #rh.hunters in some IRC network. If you are interested, check it out.
Use polish-looking name
Asgard will keep helping Russia, when Poland finally starts the battle. In the meanwhile we will liberate our members, and get ready for big battles ahead. Remember to keep an eye for battle orders.
Headquarters
HQ has many topics to discuss right now. Canada is a trial-member, but their trial period is about to expire. Congresses of Finland and Sweden will have to discuss and vote, and both congresses must get at least 67% for approval.
Supreme Commander can not be found from Asgard Treaty. §7 Asgard is ruled by a common board of member country government officials. which means that HQ is now discussing about the specifics before it can present their ideas to congresses. Many questions lie open: should SC rotate between countries, or should all CP's suggest a candidate? What is the specific role of the SC in Asgard? Can CP be a SC, and if yes, can SC then have superior decision making power to CP's, because if he is a CP and his countrys matter is on the tabe, it would look bad.
Lastly Ireland has announced that they are looking in all directions in allaince matters, including Asgard. Asgard HQ will be discussing about expansion rate of Asgard, and other things.
Finland got a new president, WP Attak , who has proclaimed dictatorship in Finland. This has caused some internal problems, but in HQ WP Attak has been able to work well. Attak has named experienced MU commanders to represent him in HQ, and so far it has gone pretty well.
Canada has shown real improvement lately, as their new president Homer J Simpson has been able to attend IRC. Canada has also focused well in Prios, and in general really shown that they want to be in Asgard organisation, not just act as timezone-guardians.
Sweden elected again Intyala. After a short hiatus due impeach, Intyala and his HQ members have given good effort in HQ. Special mention for Kain Propan, who is a prominent voice in Asgard matters.
Also thanks to Lejman, we have these cool visuals.
Norway also re-elected their president. Vileskont continues represent Asgard. His representors have been helping him. Vileskont suffers from some internet problems, but they are hopefully temporary.
Thank you for reading. In the future we will give you interviews from HQ members, and maybe even some competitions! So stay tuned.

Ireland is concidering to join Ásgárd? Ugh, I'd hate to see Ásgárd becoming yet another giga alliance.
Concerning Plato´s "great" idea of adding an alliance module should probably be ignored. An alliance isn't a game mechanic, but a bond which exists outside the game itself. In my opinion we should request having Ásgárd removed as an ingame alliance, as Ásgárd bases it´s loyalty on relationships with the member nations and not by oath and influence. At least that was the idea when we discussed Ásgárd back in the days.
Pretty harsh. Asgard is an Alliance, and we do not lose anything by being an ingame Alliance. Irish question and Asgard expanding is another, difficult question.
We won't lose anything, but I think having an official SC is damaging to the alliance concept and fun of doing alliance politcs. Our bonds really shouldn't be defined by a page on the Internet. However, I don't know if the people with official positions in an alliance have any legitimacy to rule what so ever, but I think they shouldn't.
§7 Asgard is ruled by a common board of member country government officials.
And SC's position is under discussion. He will most likely be an organisational figure, not a decisionmaker.

Umm, even if we applied and were accepted, I doubt that would make Asgard a "giga alliance". Nice article, though.
