Should have written this up yesterday, but it was Christmas and I was a bit too busy playing (rather, raging) Battlefield and Fifa. Anyways...just a semi-quick article outlining my policies in regards to my CP run!

I will say that the chances of you guys actually voting for me are (to quote a great man - Dr Hugh) “slimmer than Kate Moss”, but I am genuinely interested in eCan and working for and with you guys to better the country. I’ve read many things of a “PTO” going about, and I just want to say that I am absolutely not a part of any PTO in any shape or form. Sure, I’m a part of CCP, but I joined after the recent elections. Let’s put it this way – If I was in any way “PTO-minded”, I wouldn’t have worked my arse off for four straight months in eAus. Anyway, policy stuff...*deep breath*




A new alliance?

Let’s just get that one out the way right now. Yeah, it may sound a little far-fetched and silly, but this game is currently on its arse being dominated by TWO, and it’s boring. A new alliance would bring a little bit of excitement back, and perhaps knock TWO off their current pedestal. It’s a long shot – but what’s the harm in enquiring? Seriously, you don’t ask, you don’t get.



War *sigh*

My original intention was to start a war with the eUK. A pure 1v1 (come at us, bro) without interference from allies on either side. If there’s one thing you can say about the eUK, it’s that they have some powerful friends, and I don’t necessarily fancy Poland or Spain on the doorstep. A war that I would hope to guarantee wouldn’t lead to a perma-wipe of either side, because wipes just aren’t fun, and one where any regions conquered would be handed back once the main bulk of the fighting has concluded. A war of pride. Essentially, a war of who has the biggest d*ck (figuratively speaking). The issue with this now is that the eUK is in some serious sh*t, having had roughly 6000 gold stolen from their treasury. I’d still very much like an attempt at kicking their back doors in, if they would agree to it. There would be some friendly banter, it’d increase activity, and we’d get an extra shot at some TP damage.



Activity

I like things active. I cannot stand a quiet Government where nobody tells anyone anything and the majority don’t have a clue. I would be aiming for a very active Government – not just from myself, but from every department. I’d want regular articles and updates published, and for you guys to know exactly what is going on. Too much information seems to be isolated to things like forums – I am, and always have been, someone who plays in-game rather than on an external platform. Sure, forums have their uses, but in-game is where people should know what is going on.



Player retention/Help the newbies

I would seriously f*cking love to create a new player scheme that is designed to help them integrate into the community and help player retention for a brighter future for eCan. I have worked on this kind of scheme before and I can say without any doubt that it definitely helps players become more familiar with the game, help them be a part of the community and helps them stick around. It would be completely run on donations so it does not become a drain on resources, and it would be under the guidance of the Dept. Of Education. New players would have to “sign up” to this scheme, and there would be certain tasks they would have to complete. Once they have completed a task, they would be rewarded with food and weapons. This gets them more involved than just simply handing them what they need, and makes them actually go out there and get involved. And no – not all of the tasks would be related to in-game. There would be a task encouraging them to sign up to the eCan forums; another way to get them involved in the community.



Free stuff

I’d like to introduce competitions via the Dept of Home Affairs, with donated gold rewards for article competitions, and lottery’s designed purely to encourage activity within the community. These prizes will come out of my own pocket, or indeed anyone who wants to donate to the cause. Everyone likes to win free stuff, right?



It’s question time!

I would like to introduce a separate weekly article designed just for a Q&A. It’ll be mainly aimed at new players who do not use or are unaware of the forums or IRC, but can be used by anybody, even for silly things. If you have a query, it will be answered!

I would also like to look into possibly extending the land rented out to other allied nations who are facing a long wipe and need resources or a congress. It’ll be more cash to line our pockets for the future.

There are no plans to increase Tax or Vat. That one was simple.

MPP’s

I’d be looking to add at least one more MPP to our current stack, with the cost for this coming from my own pocket.
