A month ago, eIndia began a journey. The months prior had been tumultuous, and so did this one promise to be - I was taking office, unopposed; mostly as a lack of interest from other people, not out of an inherent recognition of any skill (or lack thereof). But this month has been quite successful, and I can say so myself with confidence - mostly because most of the credit goes to the wonderful people listed below.

Asmita is truly a stupendous person to have in your corner. I cannot enumerate the number of times she calmed me down and sorted out the issue at hand with efficient and economic use of words, shouting, cajoling, and friendly backslapping - all of which were done with the stealth and effectiveness of a Ninja. I can't thank her enough.

Samnomix is by far the most erudite person in random arguments, but his job as MoFA and all-around good guy in this administration cannot be stressed enough. He was always there with great counsel, and he is truly a brother with much zeal for the care of this eNation.

Rebelash Mr. Moneybags is the most conscientious and responsible person I know. And blessed with a great sense of humour. He holds eIndia in remarkably high esteem, and has stretched our limited resources to the limit to provide whatever was possible for us.

Forter is an incredibly dependable and cheerful person - always there to help out as much as he could. He suffered from not being too IRC friendly, but he's a good active eIndian, and a good administrator who tolerated my mistakes more than I would have.

There are many, many others - deadley21, the one man dispatcher army; guessit, shockwavve, WildQuark, and many others. If I have missed someone, it is more because of my lack than their lack of contribution.

What have we managed to achieve in the last month? This is my swansong, my report card at the end of the term. xD

RETENTION AND BRATS

The reason xordin has not figured in the list above and is mentioned here is that there is no way to quantify his contribution other than talking about BRATS and not him. 🙂 He's helped me set up a new MU, an active MU representing our strength in D1 and D2 that has not only got us much goodwill from our allies but also co-ordinated our retention program, making sure our new players get guidance from our senior players and can be encouraged to get on IRC.

The future? To use it for retention as its potential warrants. To use it as our main mouthpiece to speak to all our young soldiers, and to keep them active and engaged in the game. With the economy module changing as rapidly as it is, the MU can be used as a source and medium for dispatching whatever needs to be dispatched to our new players.

CROATIA AND FINANCE
I was happy to conclude our negotiations with eCroatia and rent out 6 regions for the sum of 120,000 CC per month to be paid by the eCroatians to us. An additional 100,000 CC was paid to compensate us for the lost MPPs. As things stand, our economy is stable - the only issues persist with dealing with dispatch.

We have experimented with this repeatedly, trying to find a middle ground, trying to find alternate sources for weapons, everything. The problem is that with the economy being exceptionally broken, we've switched to streaming dispatch from EDEN countries that are doing so to our players, and continuing dispatch for BRATS. By doing this, we hope to reach a situation where there's the most efficient spending and growth.

In other words, eIndia is in Merc Mode. 😛

FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Serbia still rests near our borders, while China still stands firm to our North. Indonesia lies dormant to our South, but things are never stable in this game. With the changing tapestry of alliances and friendships in this game, I am definite about the fact that our future lies with EDEN. The Garden of EDEN Alliance that we are a part of is not some embarrassment or cul-de-sac that we have been forgotten in - it's a place we have chosen for ourselves.

Being GEA has been good to us - we've had the support and help of the strongest alliance in the game, the most stable one, and definitely one with focus on brotherhood. GEA is a proud alliance, and we shouldn't be so keen to make a change when there is nothing to be gained from it. I am happy to report that we have exceptionally friendly relations with all EDEN nations, and have made stronger bonds with others such as the eUS.
I'm standing for re-election, and I hope that eIndia will give me the chance to showcase that this journey towards a better eIndia is far from over. Hamturk is a great candidate, and a good friend, and I wish him the best of luck. I hope that whoever wins (I'm not sure about Gaurav12 standing, tbh), we have an eIndia that can complete this process that I have had the honour of watching over the start of, in this time of chaos in eRepublik.
