[AFA] Should work taxes be lower?

The tax rates in the US are unnecessarily high.
Many countries around the world with similar resource bonuses thrive with much lighter tax rates than the US imposes on its citizens. To cite one example, we have 5+5+5 bonuses while our supposed "arch-nemesis" Serbia also has 5+5+5 bonuses. The difference being that they have a 5% Work Tax implemented in their economy while the US has a work tax bigger than twice, or to be precise 12%.
This may not sound like a lot to someone from the Government, but it sure does add up over the course of time, and for a new player it can definitely make a difference as to whether or not they decide to stay and grow the eUSA community. Just by working in only one company, an American has to pay almost $4 for work tax, which is about 8-10% of an average salary.
The individuals who make these decisions claim that we need to have a huge reserve for a rainy day. But the truth is that there is nearly $10 million in the eUS treasury. This is a huge number, and rather than continue to stockpile a massive amount of money, the smart and decent thing to do would be to give some financial relief to eUS citizens by lowering taxes. Serbia has 20% of what the US has (less than 2M CC), and they never seem to run out of reserves. We have five times that, yet we are told it is still not enough.
We have one of the highest Work Tax rates in the world, secured regions with bonuses without any sign of possible big wars in the near future and a bank that is so full it makes the bolts of its virtual safe pop out. Taxes can always be raised in the event of a major war when bigger funds are urgently needed. In the meantime, higher taxes are only used to funnel money to a handful of military units that are highly and inappropriately favored, even in times of relative peace.

Attempting to break into the top 5 is a violation of the ceasefire we agreed. You guys have held up your end quite admirably prior to now. I'm not DHS at present but I think they'd happily jump at an excuse to start seizing the AFA every month again. I'd rethink this course if I were you.
How did you conclude that we were attempting to break into the top 5? We have right to have our own policy without threatening the top 5. Having an influence on Congress is not equal to attempting to break into top 5.
Although our agreement with DHS should be certainly discussed once again.

Easy Company hands the USAF it's a$$ weekly, so that is tax revenue wasted. Also MFA pays out more weekly in gold to it's Cadets than the DoDSEP, so again wasted tax revenue. Easy Company is the best MU in America and we do it on our own money, the USAF is a perennial also ran and uses tax revenue to accomplish even that....

No, they should not be lowered.
1) The work tax was raised from 8% to 12% to REPLENISH the agreed upon reserve of the CBO by the majority of Congress.
2) Sure, your chart does show USA as full bonuses with highest tax, but it does not show the active population per country. Population of a country is an important factor in considering the % of taxes per country. If you look at Serbia's active population (+7,000), Argentina's active population (+6,000), Turkey's active population (+3,500) and Hungary's active population (+3,500) versus USA's active population (+3,400) you will see that those countries with more population, some double USA's population, do not have to have a high tax rate because they get more clicks from its citizens than USA's population does from its citizens.
tl;dr? Larger country's incoming taxes per day is greater than a smaller country's incoming taxes per day; UNLESS a smaller country (USA) raises its taxes to a higher percentage to try and receive the amount of taxes a larger country receives per day.

I'd say there could be a link between no active population and high work tax.
Two components to income from Work Tax
1) WAM Tax - this is based on what country you live in
2) Taxing workers is based on what country you work in - with the advent of the housing industry the number of foreign workers in eUS has increased tremendously also the number of US citizens working in US has increased & with overtime pay the number of workers is further multiplied. Lowering the tax rate will increase the willingness of foreigners to work in the eUS for given pay rate.

Argentina = 2,800 (were around 35,000 before loss of regions)
Turkey = 61,000
Hungary = 64,000
So trying to match Serbia's income is the goal? Because we're clearly blowing past all the other countries you mentioned. And how does the extra cash negate Serbia's population advantage?

Please explain how a 6% work tax (half) equates to loss of bonuses. Assume tax revenue goes to 50% (even though VAT generates some income). Does $56,000 per day = loss of bonuses?
Romania has a similar active population (3,400) , has a 5% work tax, hauls in $60,000 per day, has a great alliance, 100/60/60 bonuses & does just fine.
Only two countries out-earn eUSA: Poland & Serbia.

You know as much as I am not fond of AFA, the fact is they bring up a legit discussion about the work tax.
But threatening to seize the party because as an active Party they are voicing an opinion of a government policy that they disagree with, that is just wrong.
It's not wrong.
They're not just creating discussion, they're recruiting members and calling them to join for their cause, which would lead them to potentially be in the top 5 parties, gain access to congress members which is breaching the 'ceasefire' of both sides.
Good god they are 64 members short of breaking into the top 5. Do you honestly believe they could possibly pick up that many members to even breach that.
The bottom line is those that hold the power of the country enjoy their tax, it lets them keep all their pretty little things.
They are against a lower tax. But threatening an opposite view point is wrong. Like it or not AFA members are also citizens of the eUS.

Tax debate aside, this type of behavior as well as their opinions doesn't make them an opposition. When you rather see your country wiped for months than to fight a US nemesis, you're more than just an opposition.
Like I said I am not a fan of AFA. I am very aware of their history as well as their past connections with ajay. I never hesitated to help with ATO efforts against them. I do not need a history lesson.
But it is no surprise that a good number of people in power hate the thought of a discussion of lower taxes let alone implementing them.
And they will do anything to hold onto that. To me this crosses a dangerous line.

I support 100% of what you had said. Comments like yours give me hope that there still are objective players in this country who can differentiate real danger for the country from stamping out political opposition by using Gestapo methods. The short version... Work tax is at 12% to make up for the period where the most short sighted of you had it lowered to 8% instead if leaving it where it needed to be to cope with peaks and troughs in expenditure of 10%. Stop screwing with the tax system in a veiled attempt to aid your home eCountry of Serbia. They are the only ones who benefit when eUSA does not have the funds to repel them in future.
I want lower taxes. Our reserves are in good shape now. Does this mean I want to aid eSerbia in my home countries demise?
There's no future in the USA for the working man, only if being a member of the USAF and enjoying the stupid amount of weapons paid by tax payers. Of course it's not the fault of the USA politicians (the same for years their hands in the honey pot) but the game system and WAM making all this possible. And of course we who stay here and pay all this are to blame as well.
It would be good for small players like me.
