[ADP] Food Drop - In a Pickle!
The ADPs official Org
It's the first week of the Pickle government, and things are off to a tangy start!
I've been a long time pickle supporter, so to celebrate, I'm going to share with you some of the contents of my fridge.
Here's the classic Korean pickle - Napa Cabbbage Kimchi:
And here's an attempt at Chard Kimchi. I'm not quite as thrilled with the result:
Next we have some roasted beetroot in vinegar:
Sometimes you might also find pickled onions, but as I can easily eat them by the jar, they don't tend to last long. As compensation, please enjoy this classic gif of our former PM eating a raw onion:
What would you pickle?
The most creative answer from any eAustralian wins 1000cc to splash out on some vinegar.
And as always any ADP member who comments takes home a jar of the good stuff.
Comments
I would pickle my late grandfathers brain. If only for the reason that I can show him off to my future guests and say that I have TWO brains.
Why is there no communication with cabinet or congress?
Or DOs.... Or outrage by the normal people who always complain
Departmental discussions have been happening. I can personally attest that Finance and Immigration have both been very busy. The cabinet as a whole was only finalised a day or two ago. As for the senate, I'm sure there may well be a new group message soon enough although sometimes friend requests can take a while, and there may be the same potential problem with split threads, not to mention recurring personal abuse that we're yet to find an adequate solution for that all can agree to. In the meantime there are the forums, or senators could communicate through articles. You could that one on S.H.I.T. that I've been looking forward to.
Don't do forums and there are no articles
There's one right here we're already having a discussion in. There's nothing stopping any eAustralian from starting a discussion paper, even if it's something as simple as:
"We need S.H.I.T. discuss." With a pretty picture.
Something to give us a public forum to discuss a particular issue.
The other problem we have is that some people refuse to do the group message after the nasty turn some discussions have had (I know I've born some of the guilt in the past too) and it's been more difficult to moderate than a forum or a newspaper is, especially as some people will use some very personal insults behind closed doors that they won't dare to speak somewhere more public.
So the best we can do to include everyone is to utilise a variety of communication channels. Newspapers, messages, forums. They all have their place. And as the senate is now over 30 again, even without including all of the cabinet, we need to find a workable alternative. The split threads regularly had communication problems. I'd be willing to opt out of the group message if it will mean the people who actually want to be there can be limited to 30. I prefer to raise and discuss issues via articles.
articles don't work, they are only 2 days long and most of the time I don't even get a notification that somebody has said something ....
It's because these comments branch off my comment. Anyway, my comments still stand. It's easy to complain and not much more difficult to do something. It took Dill a week to find enough willing and able people to fill all the cabinet posts. You could always offer to chair the congress thread yourself if you want it up and running sooner.
Also the latest article in each category stays up for longer, although this is more poignant for finance, as the only articles released there are DoF or policy proposals.
I have done little. Internet and work schedule are RL situation but I won't use that excuse because it's too easy to say "Sorry, I got busy.". Also pretty lame.
The major issue, from my perspective, would be community, or lack thereof. Evidently the CP cannot delegate a Congress liason. So I'll start a thread and do my own speaking. I also regret to say that Immigration is off the trolly.
In short, I'm frustrated. Not your fault and I'm not ducking the issue. I'll spend time today (tonight if you're on aussie time) to get back on track. Blame me directly, no matter what I was elected to do a job so I'd best get at it.
I enjoy food 😛
Thankyou all for making my first term as party president such a presidential party.
Max and Blazing both take home something to help preserve them over the next week.
And Max takes out the special prize for his zombie delicacy.
oww kimchi
It does burn.
You're a little late to the party, but I've sent you a little something.
