Join the new world

The last part of my manifesto focuses on stuff to do with Foreign Affairs and Wars we may be involved in over the course of my term. There’s a lot of overlap between the two areas so I thought I’d tackle them together.

So recently the eUK has been kicking a*se in a war against Asgard and the Canadurps, along with our eGermakian friends. If I become CP, I’m fully behind continuing the war in Scandinavia to help Germark out and nab us some more territory. Obviously its pretty difficult to say too much about what will develop over the course of the month, as its impossible to predict the future. What I can say is that my government would take a pro-active and ambitious approach to events, we won’t be looking to sit back and fight through MPPs the entire month.

This does not mean we will be abandoning our allies though either. I’m a firm believer that the best way to help allies out is to NE in support, as we have done this month with helping Germany. But, in important battles where our allies in the NSPP or Sirius need our help, the eUK will be there with them.

We have had, its fair to say, a deterioration in relations with Sirius over the past month. It doesn’t really matter who this is the fault of or whatever, but it is a problem that needs to be addressed, so I’ll be looking to take a pro-active approach with our alliance and ensure that everything is running smoothly.

Regarding MPPs, I think we should be as fluid as we can with them. A stack of 13 is probably a touch too high long-term but it might well be we are in a freak month with wars and the like. If we can drop an MPP or two who aren’t involved in major wars, then that’s something I’d like to explore. We won’t be abandoning them though- if our allies are attacked, then we will be right along side them.

There’s nothing specific to say about how the MoD works, I believe that the ministers I have down will do a sterling job and I will do everything I can to make sure they have good funds for COs should they need them. You may remember the great 'MoD Extra'articles that Max Blue did back in December, and they will be making a comeback, providing a little bit extra detail regarding military matters than you would otherwise get from the MoD orders.

That just about covers it, so its time to reveal who will be heading up the various government ministries if I win:

Cabinet

MoFA: Kapten Johnson and WookieO: These two guys are both highly experienced in Foreign Affairs, having both been MoFA before. Both will be chatting away to all our allies over the course of the month, but Kapten will be focusing on our relations with Sirius, having a wealth of contacts and experience in Alliance HQ.

Mo😨 Neil Lewis, Akarin Weston and BrickTamland - As the CO of the eUK’s hardest hitting MU with a mass membership, Neil Lewis is an obvious choice to help co-ordinate the eUK’s damage as one of guys directly responsible for the largest chunk of it. He’s joined as a senior minister by BrickTamland, who has done the job before and is highly active on IRC, an important part of the job. Akarin Weston will be the junior of the three (though not a deputy), and will be focusing on writing the MoD’s articles.

MoHA: ApronChef - Apron has done a good job as MoHA this month, so he’s heading up the ministry again. Top guy and I’m hoping he can assemble a stellar team to inform and educate you lovely eUKers…

MoF: Huey George, Elvis Trout and ArgoFookYourself: Huey and Argo have been doing a super job at the MoF for a few months, and they will be joined at the MoF by Elvis Trout, who was MoF during ACroc’s term. He made a mistake with the org passwords that month which marred his term, but I think his other good work more than merits another shot.
