FallbackPants Manifesto

I am again standing for the Senate, this time as a representative for NSW rather than NT. This is simply a short statement of intent. My beliefs and policies have not changes since last term, therefore my prior manifesto can still be read here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-acp-fallbackpants-senate-manifesto-781811/1/20 and our PP Leon Alston’s manifesto that I believe states the Party’s beliefs very well can be read here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/acp-ideology-808190/1/20

The last Senate term has been a defining moment in eAustralian history, and the next term looks like it could continue this trend. Foreign affairs continue to dominate discussion, and to a degree it’s a bit of a shame, as there are a number of domestic issues that need clearing up that are being overlooked.

That said, the agreement with eIndonesia regarding the return of our lands was a watershed moment for eAustralia, and I’m proud to have been a part of it, regardless of how small.

I am an unabashed communist. Far from apologizing it is the basis of what I am running on. I believe that the government should be providing for the Australian people by filling the gaps left by the free market. A perfect example of this is the recent Q1 food shortage.

A government run company is not there for profit, and thus not raising prices drastically when demand increases, like has happened during war games. What does this mean? That new players who can’t afford anything above Q1 will be able to afford to purchase food. It is also a far better system of regulating prices than RRP charts than can easily be ignored or passed off as out of date by GMs.

I believe that friendly relations with eIndonesia are vital. However, I am not convinced that an alliance with them is necessarily the best path. We will potentially be alienating other historical and current friends. Neutrality has served us well, but the international world is changing with the collapse of ATLANTIS. We should keep all options for our future direction open, and remain constantly vigilant.
