**A Holiday Message From the Wasteland Commission**

Day 772, 13:25 Published in USA USA by The Wasteland Commission

Greetings,

Over the past month we here at the Wasteland Commission have been blessed with opportunity and the kindness and generosity of those around us.

This organization started with one person, myself, using my personal finances and a mass mailer to contact Wastelanders one state at a time and get them to California or Florida. Through luck and word of mouth we grew in size, taking on volunteers and financiers and even getting mentioned in a few Presidential articles.

Now our time has come to an end, but our mission lives on. The Salvation Army is taking over the primary task of The Wasteland Commission and I decided it was best that we pool our resources and talents into this one entity. To help this transition, I have been named Deputy Director of the Salvation Army and many of the Wasteland Commission's volunteers are now volunteers for the Salvation Army.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped in this endeavor. My volunteers for their hard work (you know who you are.) Max McFarland 2 for his generous donation that was enormously helpful during our busiest times and Jude Connors for his support, insight and initiative to recognize the value of what we are doing and bring us on board.

Though the org may be shutting down for the most part, we will continue to use this paper to periodically give updates on what is going on with our efforts.

Thanks again for all the support,

Daniel Dodge
-Director, The Wasteland Commission
