$5,000 prize! – The Great eRepublik Avatar Contest

Dear Readers,

This is an idea I came up with last night in order to have a little bit of fun in these hard times of war. The contest is ideal for newbies to get involved but can be a great opportunity for older players as well to relax a bit. Not to mention the total sum of 5,000 AUD prize to be handed out!

So what’s the deal? Well, rules are quite simple.

1. Leave a comment to enter the competition.

You have 48 hours from now on to enter your or anyone else’s current eRepublik avatar. I will notify you about the end of the 48-hour period in the comment section.

2. Avatars will be placed into five categories as follows:

¤ People
¤ Nature/Animals
¤ Cartoon/Comic/Game
¤ Technology/Cars/Architecture
¤ Art/Other

You don't need to worry about categories, I'll take care of which avatar goes to which category.

3. I will include three avatars that got the most nominations in each category and release a follow-up article to let the public decide who the winners of the different categories are. Voting will run for another 48 hours and is carried out in the comment section in order to make sure that the process is fully transparent.

4. Although you can enter your own avatar you cannot vote for yourself, if you do so, your vote will be disregarded. Also, only the first vote of yours is counted in.

I will announce the winners of each category in a third article by the end of next week and transfer the 1,000 AUD prize to the lucky winners.
