سلام دوستان.
خلاصه بعد از مدتها تلاش در ویکی, با کمک خیلی از دوستان, تقریبا ترجمه آن در حال اتمام است. با توجه به تغییراتی که در حال وقوع در بازی است, به نظرم الان بهترین وقت است که نظر ادمین را برای اضافه کردن زبان فارسی به بازی جلب کنیم, تا همزمان با تغییرات جدید فارسی هم اضافه شود. اگر این امر صورت نگیرد, می ترسم تغییرات جدید برای بعضی از بازیکنها مشکل باشد. همچنین به گفته خیلی ها, اضافه شدن زبان فارسی به افزایش جمعیت ایران کمک می کند, چون خیلی ها که وارد بازی می شوند و می بینند انگلیسی است به بازی ادامه نمی دهند.

در صورت امکان, به این وت بدهید تا همه هموطنان بتوانند این را ببینند و امضا کنند.

This is another suggestion for adding a language to eRepublik. I will try my best to motivate why this is in the interest of both the gamer and the site. Hopefully by the end of this we can find a way to add this ancient language to our new world.

First of all, I want to point out some important stuff about eIran. eIran is one of the countries in eRepublik that has a quite odd situation. Even though we don’t have the most population, we contribute to 10% of the sites traffic (source: Alexa, http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/erepublik.com?p=tgraph&r=home_home#). I repeat. 10%!. That is more than Poland, the USA, Italy, Romania, and every other country in the new world. If we let RL in for a moment, we do not have the population of Russia, Indonesia or many other countries, and do not have the best of governments to give us a decent infrastructure for internet like other countries. Even with all this, we still represent 10% of every click on eRepublik.

We are very avid gamers, (probably because we are all so bored in RL and really have nothing to do 😛 ), and at the same time, as many foreigners like to make fun of, do not have the best English speaking skills. I really don’t care why this is so, but it has one huge impact for a non-English speaking Iranian or even someone with limited English skills, they can’t continue playing. This is due to the format of the game, it is not a graphical game per se and it needs to be read and understood. Many of the problems and warnings that Iranians receive are because they were not really aware of the rules, since they find it hard to navigate. Most of our babies cannot adapt to this new world, because it is limiting us. In RL, we know because of many things that are out of our hands, we are always going to be treated as bad people and second-class citizens. We do not expect this in the new world.

During the past few months, and especially during the last 4 weeks, we have begun a massive project to finish the translation of the wiki into Persian. This has been quite successful and, give or take a few pages, the translation is almost complete. I realize that the formatting may be troublesome, but it surely isn’t a problem for your technical staff.

Now I ask you this. As there are lots of changes going on with the new modules, could you please have a few of us Iranians to join you and help you and us by translating eRepublik to Persian? The timing would be good, because while you are updating the game, you can update the languages as well. And if this doesn’t happen, I fear it would be hard for many Iranians to fully understand the new game changes. I am sure there are many Iranians who would be willing to help translate, I can help myself.
