Victory through Strength. Strength through Unity. UNITY THROUGH OBLIGE!

Day 2,075, 16:39 Published in USA USA by Oblige

You know America,

There is nothing quite like an ePresidential race to get the blood racing. I have to admit when I sat down to write this article I was dreading the usual hour long experience of putting digital pen to paper, yet when it came time to enter my title I began reading through my old campaign articles and I had a revelation: it is awesome to run for President! It simply is. It is exciting, and challenging, and no matter how sure you are of winning, it's a nail bitter until all the ballots are cast.

This election is sure to be interesting and I hope you, my dear reader, will find it engaging as well. In order to make sure we all started off on the right foot, the two (primary) other candidates ( Dr Luis "Sexy Times" Sentieiro and NewAzazel) have accepted positions in each other's cabinets to make sure that regardless of who is elected, we will still all be able to work for the betterment of America.

Additionally, at an emergency cabinet meeting last evening to discuss strategy for the remainder of the term, we jointly decided that a top priority, regardless of who became President, would be making sure this will the month we rid ourselves of the so-called American Freedom Alliance and the Serbians and hostile eCitizens that are trying to politically take us over.

In order for this to happen, it is imperative that you contact KODY5 if you are able and willing to assist in our anti-take over efforts.

You know, I almost forgot.

Those of you that know me well are aware that I have been thinking about a Presidential run for quite some time now, but the timing just never seemed right, and I refuse to run for or accept any position I'm not fully able to commit myself to. Thankfully my RL stars have aligned and my calendar is clear of any commitments that would keep me from eRep. Just as importantly, I've become increasingly dismayed with both the executive agenda and the leadership initiative taken by the last several Presidents. It seems like we are adrift, both domestically and internationally with no direction and administrations that carry us wherever the winds of chance may blow. I don't mean any disrespect to the previous cabinets or the fine individuals that they were comprised of, but the overall feel I've gotten from this country as of late is just that, drift.

What is just as concerning is the changes that have been happening to our community. eAmerica is turning into a Serbia or Poland lite, with groups of players forming their own communities, each run by its own king or queen each in their own tiny castle. I believe in America. I believe that we are great, have been great, and will be great moving forward, but I worry sometimes about the direction we are heading in. Is the game still as fun for you to play as it was a year ago? Two? For many, I know the answer would be "no."

It is with that in mind that I brought out my old campaign slogan and made it the title of this article.

Victory through Strength.
Strength through Unity.
Unity through Oblige!

Not just hollow words. Words with meaning. With truth. With history.

I know it's not tradition to lay out a campaign platform in an announcement article, but if I only have your attention for these few minutes know this: I cannot and will not promise to fix the woes that besiege us now eAmerica, but I do promise to do everything possible as a leader to set an example I hope, and I have faith, that the rest of the nation will follow. We will be revamping the executive from the top down, with a focus on community, starting with a completely new angle on the National Security Council and the way we structure our relationships between parties, between MUs, between Congress and the executive, and between the President and the player base.

I will leave you with that.

P.S. my Vice President is Vanek26.

P.P.S. A shout would be nice too.

Victory through Strength.
Strength through Unity.
Unity through Oblige!
