The truth about the German campaign.

Day 1,245, 15:03 Published in Belgium Belgium by mittekemuis

Greetings Belgium,

A few days back, the government published an article that described a plan with the Germans. Now I’ll quickly summarize what happened in the past days.

Last week, our president was approached by the German ambassador. He told us that eGermany wanted Rhineland-Palatinate in friendly hands. Why? They wanted to keep the capital, Saarland, secure. The other neighbouring region was supposed to become French in the future. The result of this action would be that if a hostile nation would have to RW the region before they would be able to attack eGermany, giving them some time to organise their defense.

The German Proposal was given to congress to vote. We did this before knowing the exact plans and some members of congress weren’t to happy about I but regardless congress voted in favour of the German proposal. The NE was put up in game and also approved after a bit of a mix-up the first time around.

When an agreement between us and eGermany was finally found, eGermany had taken up the responsibility to make sure that every battle would end like it was planned and we only had to fight where we could. Unfortunately, the eGerman public opinion was not at all happy about the agreement. They were afraid that a hostile nation might hijack one of the battles for Saarland. This combined with a massive amount on passive damage done by two clicking (MPP)citizens made the first battle difficult. We had to go to a higher level to win the battles as planned. After a few hours, German government came online and helped us win the battle as was agreed. When we conquered Rhineland, we attacked Saarland and lost as agreed upon.

During the second battle for Rhineland, it seemed that the combination of two-clickers and the lack of available eGerman officials was a lethal combination. Having our President missing in action didn’t help either. In the meantime, our other involved officials, the Vice President, the MoD and our High Command went in overdrive and put pressure to solve the issue. Since there weren’t any willing eGerman officials available, eGermany could no longer guarantee their part of the agreement.

Since we didn’t expect the eGermans to break the agreement, a lot of damage was caused. Some citizens lost trust. The worried once spend a lot of money and our officials workload increased enormously.

After talks with the German CP last night I was fairly confident we wouldn’t lose Wallonia. They had guaranteed us we wouldn’t and they have spend a whole lot of money to hire people to fight for us in securing Wallonia. I was very glad to see I was right and now Wallonia is secured.

In the meantime I have been talking with the Netherlands. I have given them the permission to declare us NE and attack Wallonia. So as of tomorrow noon eNL will attack Wallonia and we are going to do everything we can to lose this battle. The purpose of this is to make sure we don’t have a boarder with Germany anymore and then our NE on them will stop and so will the war. Don't forget to look at the battle orders!!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. I will try and answer them as good as I can.
