What is wrong with eRepublik ?
Greetings to everyone,
I see all kinds of posts asking what is wrong with eRepublik? Well I think that I have found the fault behind eRepublik. It is because of the Division system that Gold income has been increased drastically and because of the 2 most recent medals introduced to eRep , TP and FF.
In the old days wars were fought differently where all players would choose a side and fight and compete against all players from the other side. There were 2 BH per battle, not 8. Gold income from a war at maximum for both sides was 160 gold (assuming 15 battles took place resulting in 30 BH each worth 5 gold + CH medals) .
Now the minimum income is 224 gold (Assuming 8 battles took place all won by one side resulting with 16 BH div1, 16 BH div2 , 16 BH div3 , 16 BH div4 and 2 CH).
As you can see , this is the reason that the gold price is very low , not to mention the tournaments which all result in gold prizes for players .Because of this even economy sucks. I am no expert in game development but I have a couple of suggestions for improving gameplay.
1. As we know, every new player that joins the game has it impossible to be in the same league with the older players of the community , so I suggest a reset button. Let me explain this.
For example , Player X will reach level 100 and military rank of Titan*** . His account then returns to level 1 , 0 strength and rank Recruit , but he gets to keep his money, his company upgrades and his training ground upgrades. This may not sound that fair but it is the only way to keep new players motivated and give them a fair chance to reach the older ones. ( The reason why I didn’t put limit in strength is because strength is controllable. A player can reach x level and x rank and if the strength limit is 100.000 he will not train when he reaches 99.999)
2. Lowering q7 weapon and food quality. If you check all the weapons you will see their firepower and durability. q1 = 20 firepower durability 1 , q2= 40 firepower durability 2 , q3= 60 firepower durability 3 , and so on , but when it comes to q7= 200 firepower durability 10 , so in fact q7 is a q10 and that is the reason why we are forced to fight with q7 weapons and even if we use q6 weapons we cannot beat a q7 without 3 hits (of course strength has a role here but think about it).
3. Bring back the BOT to buy goods from the market.
If the first suggestion is implemented I would also like the division levels to go back to how they once were.

No one will fight.
fighting is a must in eRep ..🙂 .. If players and the admins agree to this I'm sure this game will start to rise again and we could have some fresh new players and not multies.. 😉 ..🙂
No it is not ı have div 1 friends they just train to stay in div1.
They were returning players with new accounts.
They beg for money they have full training grounds and they are still div1.
With all companies and traininggrounds no one will fight as it gives too much exp.
With out the div system it would be worse.
so why play the game if you won't fight ? If we put limits to everything we could force them to fight sooner or later... a player that has reached level 30 and has 30k strength will get every BH and the new players are demotivated because of this .. that's why I hate divisions.. if we could go back with no divisions then nobody will get BH except the old guys which is probably better than this that it is going on here right now.. I don't remember seeing complains when the old military system was in use ....
A reset button is a must if you ask me , if we want everybody to have a same shot at the game ..
as you said your old friends are returning with new acc ... they know the rules , they know everything and that's why it is not fair to the new players and they don't play

hm, you state the problem is people are getting too mcuh gold!
then the solution to that problem is
1. make high experienced players fight with low experienced players.
how does that solve the too much gold problem? it only makes the players with the traing grounds fully upgraded get more bh so the strong players keep getting stronger. even if their level is reset,
2. lower the quality of the highest quality weapons.
how does this solve the too much gold problem? it only will make the lower quality factories better then people would spend gold on the lower q which require less gold makign there be more gold free to sell so more gold. this seems to make the problem worse!
3. bring back bots.
how will this solve the problem of too much gold? this will only increase the amount of currency circulating. governments can print money. which does the same thing as bots. this would not reduce the amount of gold. it might make the price seem higher but effecitivly it would just flood the markets with currency and then maybe people will just build tons of the raw places that require currency to build once the value of the currency turns to nothing.
i do not see how any of your suggestions solve your perceived problem of there being too much gold in the game.
plato has a viable solution every country can impliment if they think there is too much gold, turn the gold into currency! because america is too cowardly to print money, and i think most other countries are also. we should not be complaining!
get elected in congress and vote to issue money! to turn the gold into currency, to get ride of the extra gold! and hey if you really want you could print money at a loss! buy it for 500 and print for 200 to increase the price of gold!

here is croatia trying to solve your problem for you maybe send them a thank you! took 5000 gold out of the game.
1.yes exactly ..and when the older and stronger player has to reset then the other guy will kick his *ss..payback
2.lowering it should balance a bit the military system..i say that because of the q7 weapon you cannot fight bare handed ..if a guy with a q7 weapon shows up and you fight bare handed you spend 110 health but if someone with a q6 shows up you beat him with 50 health.. this is not fair because as I said q7 is a q10 ...
3.No country wants to lose money that's why ..another solution is setting the gold price to x cc and to never change it .. you put it on the market and you get the cc directly without having to wait for someone to buy it... and why pay all things with currency and win only gold ..if the gold has a price then why not use directly gold to support or sign MPP's ...
the problem is gold I can assure you...there are to many ways of spending cc but just a few to spend gold and that makes an overflow

The divisions should not go back to the way they were unless premise 1 is fulfilled. Otherwise we need to restructure divions to be based on strength, not level.
well if it would be set on strength they would train until the are 1 point away from going to the other division and do maximum damage for their divison and get all the BH's ..which is exactly what I want not to happen... the only way to not let it happen is to set limit on strength xp and military rank... when one of them is fulfilled the player moves to the next divison... this way they everyone will be forced to fight and enjoy the game..😃 ..🙂
