Our Nation Calls, I Answer.

Day 1,856, 21:27 Published in Australia Australia by Xavier Griffith

My Fellow Australians, and International citizens,

Our great nation of Australia calls and I have decided to bow to the requests and once again run as Prime Minister of Australia for January 2013, with the Australian Revolutionary Party officially supporting my candidacy for the Prime Ministerial Elections.

Our nation has been successively run by administrations of well-meaning people but lack of experience, leading us to a detrimental decline. Once again, we find ourselves, at least at the present moment, wiped from the face of the new world due to bad administration decisions by Prime Ministers that have for whatever reason, moved in the wrong direction or been too scared to move in any direction at all.

Our nation is now at a massive turning point and there are issues, both internally and externally that need serious work, effort and a steady hand to lead us back to being the nation we once where and know in our hearts we can be, yet which has not been seen in a long time. It is time for our nation to once again join together, put aside our differences and work together as one people to regain that glory once again. After being asked by quite a few people, I have decided that I will rise to the task and run for Prime Minister of our great nation again, I feel it’s time for some old experience to return to the top job in running the nation, somebody whose previous terms in the role resulted in the nation for the first time putting aside party politics and agendas resulting in the nation working together as one full nation.

What you can expect from me

The older members of the community will remember my previous terms as Prime Minister, for the younger members of our nation, I will be attempting to bring unity back to the nation once again first and foremost, especially between the Senate and Executive. I will also be attempting to bring back the trust between the Government and the People that elect the Members of both Houses, which seems to have gradually slipped away. I have outlined below some of the things I will be working towards with my cabinet if you the people choose to vote for me as the next Prime Minister of our great nation.

Communication

Something seriously lacking over the past few administrations. The difference with my term will be that there will be constant communication.

Executive and Senate

I am a firm believer in both our Houses of Government and their purposes. For too long both Houses have been at loggerheads because of lack of communication instead of coming together to work for the betterment of our nation. This will change. Once again I will bring back constant communication with the Senate, wanting ideas, information, discussion and solutions suggested, all will be heard and not judged before a decision is made, but it must happen at a faster pace than has been occurring. The Senate governs itself, and I fully accept and acknowledge that, but it needs to move quickly at times, and I believe they can if given information constantly instead of every now and again.

The People

The people of our great nation deserve to be made aware of what is going on. While it has to be understood that not all information can be given out in the public arena, our people still deserve to know as accurately as possible what is happening within the Executive Government, what is being done, what may have stalled and basic reasons why. The people also deserve to have a say, and be safe knowing that they have been heard and listened to. But I expect solutions in this case, not just criticism. My door (or inbox in-game and on the forums) is always open to suggestions from the people, don’t give me problems, give me problems with suggestions on how to fix them. The solutions will honestly be taken into consideration. While I can’t guarantee I will be able to put out articles personally every week, I can assure that my cabinet will be putting out information as it comes to hand as regularly as it is available and possible. Even if it is just to advise the people were a single situation is currently sitting.

Cabinet

With our current situation, irrespective of us gaining regions with Chile or not, my cabinet will consist of strong, extremely experienced people in the roles they are in. Alongside those experienced people, will be new and young people, set with the ability to work on their own and be mentored by these experienced people. It’s time the young up and coming members of our nation learnt from the experience of the older players. Nothing is ever new in this game, everything you can think of has been done before, but at least the young will have experience to teach and mentor, hopefully a strong bond will form between the Ministers and Deputy Ministers that will hold them in good stead when the time comes for them to take up roles themselves on their own and even teach and mentor the next generation of young up and coming Australia Citizens that follow us.

Foreign Policy

Anybody that has seen my article knows where I stand on this issue. I’m Pro-CoT membership, not just MPP stack, but full membership. I know some aren’t sure, I know some don’t know what, but EDEN is dead, or dying, it’s time to realign. I have always supported the concept of a regional alliance, CoT is that regional alliance. People are free to have a say regarding it, but this is my current policy move. Regarding Chile, if any deal is actually worked out by the election I will honour that peace and work towards regaining more of our regions and further defining any Agreement reached between the current Chilean and Australian Administrations. I will work closely with our allies in advancing the return of our regions and defending our allies on every front were it is possible for us to do so. If talks fail, I will try to move forward to engage Chile in continued negotiations for the return of our regions and our support in both their wars and those of CoT.

National Policy

While Foreign Policy is going to be a huge part of any term as Prime Minister, the time also needs to be spent on improving information and resources for the new players coming into the game, getting them involved in the nation, looking at what the Game is like for THEM, from THEIR perspective. The game has changed greatly since many of us were newbies, the only way we can hope to help and improve elife for them as they start out on their journey in Australia as young Australian’s is to talk to them, listen to what difficulties they encounter and work towards putting policy into place that aids them in growing for the betterment of our nation and hopefully to retain them and keep them with us and the game. This will be done by a Department of Human Services, reaching out to new Australian players, talking, finding out and making recommendations for policy to help all new players. Some may have to be placed on hold due to the nation’s financial restraints, but all information will be looked at and possible solutions investigated.

These are just some of the areas I will be working on with my Cabinet should the people choose to vote me in as their Prime Minister for January 2013. I’m experienced, and my cabinet will be as well, we need to once again return to the concept of one people, one nation with one purpose, even if it is only for one month, to reform and rebuild.
