MILITARY BUDGET UPDATE
Since the recent Navy II scandal, the White House and Congress have been working nearly non-stop to figure out a solution to the immediate funding issues regarding the eUS Military. The eUS Military and Congress have been working to reach a middle-ground that will benefit and meet the Military needs as well as meet the needs of Congress by maintaining a responsible and balanced fiscal budget that will leave an adequate amount of funding for other government programs.
Economic Council member, Gilroy, in accordance with qn20 the Major General of the Marine Corps, and Sukoidha and Lucius Varenus of the Marines Quartermaster General, have proposed this budget to Congress and it is currently being voted on. The budget, shown below, is expected to be passed in Congress by Monday.
Here are the details of the budget.
These are all weekly numbers

-21.86% to the NG -
-will allow for supplying 1 days battle, every other week
-18.88% to the Army -

-28.2% to the Marines -
-will allow 2 full days battle each week with q2's, 4-5 days with q1's
-15.53% toward a country emergency fund -
-Tanking will need to be approved out of the emergency funds
To view the full outline of the Budget, I direct you to Gilroy's article: The First eUSA Budget.

CONGRESS
The White House has taken note of the recent resignations from various Congress members in the past week. The President, Scrabman, would like to state that he sees no need for alarm at this current time. This is quite common in almost every term, but it is not something that the White House takes lightly. The White House would like to remind Congress that they were elected to serve a full term by the people of their respective states and that they have an ethical obligation to maintain their mandate.

COMING RELEASES
Tomorrow I will be holding another press conference to release the upcoming updates in regards to the Resistance Wars in Baja. Dates and an overall explanation of the Resistance Wars will be discussed in depth. It has come to the attention of the eMexican and eUS administrations that many members are still unsure of what the difference between a Real War and a Resistance War is.

These are good stories!

Nice report.
I'd be glad to still be in the EC, but I guess you all don't want to take the risk of a foreigner in it...
Could we have a breakdown of the infrastructure spending? For example, how much goes to Meals on Wheels? Thanks.
@ Gertude, I will direct that question to EC member Gilroy.
I will give you a report within an hour. I am a little busy right now.
NEWSFLASH:

Well, MoDog has his panties in a bunch. So, Scrab's administration must be doing something right. Keep up the good work, Claire.
- mpps 30.8%
- Mow 7.4%
- Weapon Companies 49.4%
- Infrastructure - 12.5%
Once the budget has passed, I intend on working on this part of the budget next.
@MoDog: Is it that time of the month?
EC list isn't quite right.
Again, I please urge everyone to just ignore the trolls. The last thing I want is this paper to be another forum for hateful talk.
@MoDog, if you want to continue to harass me, do so on my personal paper.
I'm quite concerned that the party affiliations of the members of the EC have to be published. Can people not accept the fact that they are simply qualified?
Scrabman is quite honorable enough to not just choose from the USWP, even though there are plenty who are capable enough to fill the EC many times over.
Hi Claire. FYI, I'm also on the Economic Council. Thanks
Thank you for pointing that out, ssomo! I left out the second list.

awesome stuff, glad i subscribed
Actually, there is no limit on how many people can be on the Economic Council. I just chose to add people so that all of the major parties are represented + some others.
I see no difference between any of the members of the Economic Council and consider them all as equals.
Good work Claire. Thank you.
Yes, to clarify, the Special Reinforcement Team is brought in for all meetings and discussions just like the Economic Council listed above. All opinions and ideas are valued at the same level and everyone is treated as equals when it comes to getting the job done. Each member has their own specialties and areas of expertise.
The Council exists to solve economic problems and to crunch numbers.
I appointed 4 new people on the council because I respect their viewpoints and because they also happened to be from parties that did not have representation on the council prior to my Presidency. The first factor was their true qualification and the second was an interesting side note. No party has more than 2 people ... as another interesting side note.
1) Congresspersons who resign short of fulfilling their full term should give back a portion of the gold they received upon being elected. This should be pro-rated to reflect the portion of the term they leave their state unrepresented. Eg, a congressperson is elected, and receives five gold. 15 days after election, they resign and move to Singapore, or ghost write a book with Oprah, or whatever. They should then donate 2.5 gold to the US treasury.
I know this can't be enforced, but in my opinion, they should do it as a matter of honor.
2) Madame Secretary: but the burning question to which the American people demand an answer is this-- has President Scrabman selected an Official White-House Puppy? If so, was it a shelter dog, or a pure-bred? If the latter, what breed?
Thank you for listening to my question, Madame Secretary. I will patiently await your answer to this vitally important issue. But I know all true Americans will sleep better upon having an official response to this question.
@Claire: No, if I want to harass you, I will do it wherever I please, especially on your stupid "Press Room" newspaper...you're so gay.
Mmmmmmmm propaganda goodness. More please!
@Jon Barack Bluejacket: Excellent question and I have been waiting for it to be asked for quite some time now. The President has selected a pet for the White House, however, it is not a dog. President Scrabman has chosen a White Siberian Tiger named "Lola" to entertain the little Scrablets. It has been confirmed that Lola is litter box trained, but a new 20 foot litter box will need to be constructed on the South Lawn to suit the tiger's needs.
The President would also like to announce that he has selected ProggyPop to be "Secretary of the Litterbox." That is all.
Thank you, Madame Secretary, for your prompt response.
A grateful nation can finally breathe easy.
I don't really see the purpose of meals on wheels. Even at skill level 0 a citizen should be able to make enough money from working to afford q1 food.
@MoDog: Obviously not considering you are now banned.. 😉
