CP Final Update

Day 2,967, 00:16 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

Good evening eAustralia,

It is that time again, when you, the public go to the polls and choose another leader. Someone who you will put your faith in to take charge of the country, to listen to the peoples wants, needs and desires.

But before we go into that too much, I want to give you a quick update on the events over the past week.

TW with eNZ

The Training War with eNZ went well, all be it a bit too quick. But I do hope you all managed to get some medals in and increase your TP damage. I am happy to see NZ is back on the map and happily renting the excess regions. However the region they have kept no longer borders Australia, so any future TW will have to be co-ordinated with a another country to allow them.

Potential Airstrike

eAustralia was asked to assist a long time friend by ASing another country. This request was made my a MPP partner and allied nation. However due to the changing scope of eWorld, this airstrike did not eventuate. But during the discussions in congress (it covered last congress members and this terms congress members), many questions were asked and friendly debate was had. One thing I enjoyed about this was some of the newer congress members where asking the questions, seeking out more information so they could make an informed choice on behalf of their party members. This was great to see and something which I hope to see more often.

MPP renewals

We have just recently resigned our MPP with a long time friend and fellow NEBULA member eJapan. I hope to see this friendship continue as it has been and allowing further co-operation between the two countries.

We have also proposed (and has been signed) a renewal with another old friend eIran. These two renewals make me very happy, as when ever I have been in a government role, I know Japan and Iran have always offered assistance to Australia, both in terms of military, advice and friendly banter.

No more MPPs will be signed or renewed until the new government is sworn into power.

CP Elections

Talking of which, we will all be soon going to the polls to vote for a new leadership group. The two current candidates are JackTrout and Kattrrina. Both have previously been Australian CPs and both have also held several positions in Australian cabinet and congress in the past.

You can find their CP articles here:
JackTrout: Article 1: Why JT would suck as CP (His title, not my words) and Article 2: I suppose yas want policies
Kattrrina: Article 1: Kattrina's CP campaign and Katrina's CP Campaign Reprint And Update!.

Please take a good read of them, ask any questions you have. As an informed public is a smart public.

Thank You

Now I just wanted to take the time to say Thank you to eAustralia. During the past year (2015) you have voted me in to lead the country 7 times. Each time it was an honour to serve you all. I know some people were happy with my terms, some were not, but no matter what your feelings were during my terms, thank you for your support.

During these 7 terms, eAustralia remained whole. We were never wiped, we had control of our regions and we did what we wanted with them. We increased our bonds with friends, found new friends and also patch up old hatreds. We stood our ground to threats and intimidation, some the public were aware of, some which never was even shown to congress. We as a team manage to fight fires before they could effect our nation.

I would also like to give a special thanks to all who have served eAustralia in congress or in any of my cabinets. Also to the other CPs and cabinet/congress members during the time of 2016. Australia is not one person or one party or one MU, Australia is everyone here, not only limited to people with CS in Australia, but those who feel a form of affiliation to our beloved homeland, no matter where their CS is.

Now you might be wondering why I included all the above, well sometime ago, I decided to step away from the politics of eAustralia, I set the date as the start of 2016. While I might stay in Australia (I am still unsure as I have been asked to help other countries out), I know Australia will continue to grow and reshape it self over time as new issues present themselves. But before I depart from the public scene (I will still do the odd comment or article), I just want to thank everyone who have made this year a good and strong year for eAust. No matter where your located or how you helped, be it with words of wisdom, diplomatic help, military might or just the odd joke, I wanted to say 'Cheers'.

Well that will be the last CP update from me, but as usual, any questions, please feel free to ask them or comment below.

Thanking you again,
Rusty D
