The definition of an alliance is: an agreement or friendship between two or more parties, made in order to advance common goals and to secure common interests.

This works the same within eRepublik. A congressman or Country President will propose to make an alliance with another country, once accepted by the country in question, the two countries are now allies. When a country is attacked by an enemy, the allies of the attacked country has the option to assist them in their battles. From there, the military may order the troops to attack officially. An alliance can also bring other advantages to each country such as; trading deals.

Another important war in the history of ABC is the war against Russia, the two primary aggressors are Lithuania (ABC) and Russia (Terra)
