[KSA] Term Summary [April 2013]

Day 1,994, 11:43 Published in Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia by I-G-D
Dear citizens of eSaudi Arabia,

This is the final summarizing article for the current Presidential term. I’ll mostly talk about the pros and cons, i.e. what I was satisfied with and where we didn’t do well, and I’ll also give you a short summary of the important events that took place in eSaudi during the last 4 weeks.

Elections

1. The Party President elections didn’t go that well, mostly because of the fact that we could have lost them quite easily. A PTO’er called 169th managed to get a lot of multi votes, but we were able to beat him, nonetheless.

2. The Congress elections passed without any problems at all and we got 10 Congressmen.

3. When it comes to the next Presidential elections, Wars 7 was selected to be the new President. His term started a few hours ago, whilst mine ended.

Territories

During the term, we mostly had one region: Ha’il. This enabled us to have 10 Congressmen and due to the missions and the other fights, we weren’t able to do the region swaps with Bulgaria in time to get 10 more Congressmen (via 2 regions). The region swapping idea is still up for the following term and I hope it will become a reality. This idea can also make us have a 20% Weapon, 20% Food bonus at the same time.

Government Activity

The Government was fairly active, but the activity varies when we look at all the ministries. Some ministries need to be more active than the others, and some of them were less active than needed. This is my opinion about each ministry so far :

1. Ministry of Interior Affairs

It did a good job overall. This ministry is mostly static than dynamic, so experience is more needed than activity, and I’m satisfied with the results.

2. Ministry of Economy

It did a good job when it comes to gathering financial logs. Here is a brief financial analysis for this term.

3. Ministries of Information and Translation, later on the Ministry of Media

This ministry was without a doubt the least active one. Some of the ministers had Real-Life stuff to do, some weren’t that interested in doing their job (at least that’s how it seemed to me)... My personal opinion is that this ministry should be transferred to the Baby Boom Sector in the future, so that it’s more concentrated on writing guides etc.

4. Ministry of Defence

After entering NaN, our Ministry of Defence did a good job with the Battle Orders for our allies. The articles got published in Anoir Kossentini’s newspaper.

5. Ministry of Foreign Affairs

This ministry didn’t have a lot of special work to do this month besides providing Delegates for NaN.

6. Baby Boom Sector

The Baby Boom Sector is still preparing the guides for the upcoming Baby Boom. We also need to start the Mentor program running, but good guides are needed for that... The Baby Boom can only start after we build its foundation, i.e. prepare all the guides, implement the Mentor program, distribute supplies to players, etc.

NaN Trial Membership

As you all probably already know, eSaudi Arabia joined the Non-Aligned Nations of eRepublik (NaN) this term as a Trial Member. So far it’s been going well, in my opinion. This made our Battle Orders alive, and we’ve been fighting for our NaN allies in pretty much all the important battles they had.

Food Distribution Project: Help from eJapan

Rik Daphnee, the eJapanese Vice-Minister of Health during the previous term, would like to help eSaudi Arabia by adding us to his Health Program. This means that our new players will get food from him once every week. The food is worth 1000 Health points, and the requirements are:

- to vote and comment on this article
- to have an eSaudi citizenship
- to have more than 250 Strength points
