[EZC Media]

Day 2,206, 14:25 Published in Netherlands USA by Bucephalus92

Greetings Bros,

For today's article I will be covering the first EZC ribbon ceremony, EZC song contest, and EZC writing contest, as well as some somber news. If you only read one part of this article, make sure its the last part.

There was recently a discussion in EZC leadership about how we could revamp our ranking system to make it more relevant to the game and also help to reward EZC members for their activity. A consensus was reached that the best way to do this would be through the rewarding of activity with ribbons, which can be displayed in a members profile and on our forums, as well as a gold bonus. So without further ado, allow me to introduce EZC's first ribbon winners.

Congratulations to November's winners, we will also award ribbons at the end of December, more categories may be added.

It seems to me like its time for some mood music. EpsilonXi recently organized a contest to see which song EZC members wanted to have as our official song. It was a vicious battle with many songs proposed and voted out, until only one remained. This Means War by Avenged Sevenfold. It was a tight victory, with This Means War winning by just one vote over Master of Puppets. To see more information on the contest you can visit here.

As published in the last edition of EZC Media we had a writing contest asking members to write about what EZC media meant to them. We received two insanely awesome entries from dogyple and Trekker Tlumac. I suggest reading both as they are both great, however I had the unfortunate job of picking just one. In the end the award went to Trekker, his piece was literally the first article he had ever written for erep, and if its a sing of things to come then I think I see a media mogul or two in his future. Congratulations to Trekker and enjoy the gold!

I thoroughly enjoy the job of writing articles for EZC, unfortunately it is my job to report to you all the news that involves Easy Company, and while what I have to report is something that happened in RL, it has had a big effect on many of us in EZC. You see Edward J. 'Babe' Heffron passed away this week. Heffron was one of the original members of Easy Company and participated in combat action throughout the war including the famous battles of D-Day, operation Market Garden in the Netherlands, and the Battle of Bastogne in France. The name for our military unit was chosen because of the heroic action of men like Heffron, he will be missed. In recognition of his passing and in honor of the man Easy Company will be dedicating its show of force this weekend to Heffron and all the men of Easy Company who served this country.
