[DMV4CP] The Holy War

Day 2,352, 07:45 Published in Canada Canada by DMV3

Foreign Affairs can be a complex game that if done successfully will lead to prosperity and victory. As of late eCanada has been less than successful in terms of Foreign Affairs, but it is my goal to change that with by creating a nation that is confident and competent in this area. This starts by being a nation that follows through and makes as respectable an ally as it does an enemy.

My fellow eCanadians, under my leadership as President I promise to never capitulate to
these Southern Dioist heathens. Yesterday former MDP Party President Muglack released an
article offering his full surrender on behalf of the Canadian people. This is an outrageous attempt at capitulation by a person who has obviously lost touch with reality.

The fact is our Northern Gods would be angered by such terms, our Gods have pushed for
this holy war against the heathens and no man can stand in the way of our eventual victory.
Last month alone the eUS was FORCED to spend upwards of 500,000 cc to defend its
conquests and to take back land we had taken for a much lower cost in order to deprive us of a Congress. Had they not deprived us of a Congress we would have had access to enough
funds to cause a great deal of trouble for their occupation long-term.

Our Gods are testing us and we will pass their test. We will fight on in the name of all that is righteous and all that is eCanadian. We shall prosecute this war with extreme prejudice so that all the people of this world may see the power of our Gods and the falseness of Dio. We will not yield to these nonbelievers and we will prevail with the help of our friends and allies. Victory may not come right away, but as long as we keep our faith it will come.

In order to continue to fight we need the ability to raise funds. If the eCanadian people see fit to press on we must push forward with plans for Victory Bonds and we must continue to give it our all in battle. If we do not do this we will have no choice other than to make peace with the eUS. So the choice is in your hands eCanada, but rest assured that if we are forced into a peaceful resolution I will not allow our enemies to dictate our relationship with other nations.

With that said I would like to pass on the following message to our Southern oppressors: If you want peace you must respect our ways. If you are willing to treat us as equals instead of as a vassal state we are willing to negotiate a peaceful resolution to our problems, but if you continue to pursue your current path we will fight you until the bitter end. You will find that we
not unreasonable as long as you are not. We were once friends and allies, though that ship might have sailed we both know eCanada is not a nation that is easily conquered and it is in your long-term interest to remember that fact.

Friends make all the difference

I have been very impressed with Leto this term, and I would like to thank all of our friends there for their help over the past month. Without them our campaign so far would not have been half as successful as it has been. While we may yet again be wiped, it is not because of the efforts of our friends and allies. As eCanadian CP I will reaffirm our friendship with Leto and work to strengthen it to the best of my abilities.

Should I be elected as CP I will do my best to ensure eCanada is represented in Leto
leadership so that we can help shape Leto into a strong alliance of friends instead of an
alliance merely built on damage. It is because the friendship of the nations involved that
Leto's efforts this last term had any degree of success, but more can be done to continue to build that friendship.

eCanada still has many friends outside of Leto, and under my leadership we will work to
strengthen those relationships. Our friends in Asgard have always been good to us and we
have not forgotten them, even though our priorities as of late have been to strengthening our ties to Leto we shall also work to build our ties to friends outside of Leto. Diplomacy is an art that has been lost eCanada in the past, but it is my promise to our friends and to my fellow eCanadians that under my leadership we will be focused on improving our relations with any nation that offers its sincere friendship to the eCanadian people.
