[Dennis McVicker] Why I'm running for President.

I know you’re asking yourself, “Who the f*ck is this newb?” I ask myself that question every morning when I look in the mirror, so don’t feel too bad for thinking it.

My Experience

I have been around on and off for the last two and a half years. I have spent a great deal of my time in-game working with new players. I was a former instructor of Business and Economics for the North American University, and later the Dean of that institution. I’ve worked with Meals on Wheels, and have done outreach for a Top Five Party. I also spent months in TC, helping new players learn the military module and become active. I’m the current Director of the Department of Education and enjoy working with and helping develop new players.
I spent two terms running the Budget and Finance Committee in Congress, and three terms as Party President of the Libertarian Party (while it was still a Top Five party). Needless to say, I have been around the block a few times, then again so has your mom. 😛


My Platform

Domestic Issues:

I will make sure there is a Tank in every garage and Q6 meal in every oven! If elected I will push for a strong domestic agenda. I will push for a program that assimilates our new foreign born citizens and allows full participation for all citizens despite their eNation of origin. I will also pursue programs that expand the education of our children, and push for programs the decrease the infant mortality rates (retention.) My goal is to create a program that provides our children who learn the game with the supplies they need for growth and a reason to stick around.



“We need to in this country begin again to raise discourse to another level. I mean, we shout and scream and yell and get very little accomplished, but you can disagree very much with the next guy and still be friends and acquaintances.”

Political Cooperation and Inclusion:

In this country political discourse and cooperation have taken a back seat to fighting, name calling, and outright incivility. We need a system in place that protects our institutions from those who wish to do severe harm to the eUS, our standards, and our eLives. This protection comes from a group of Top Five parties that is strong, inclusive, and cooperative. We need to develop not only a better program for cooperation, but also a better tone when we interact with each other. We may not always agree with each other, but at the end of the day we’re all fighting on the same side.
I will push for the creation of a Congressional Intern Program that allows those who wish to learn the ins and outs of Congress the ability to do so, and I will push for a Executive Intern Program that allows new player to interact with Executive Branch and learn the ins and outs of a specific department.

The Economy & Business:

I will push for economic controls that balance the needs of new players with the interests of this country’s businesses. We are currently facing a time of record deflation, and rising gold prices. I will work to establish a program to stop falling commodities prices and return businesses to profitability. There needs to be a program in place that creates an artificial price floor that is currently higher than those set by the bot, as a nation we can and we will solve this problem.

Foreign Affairs:

Our current Alliances leave something to be desired, but I believe we can work to improve them through greater diplomatic ties and a serious dialogue with our allies. Mistakes like those involving eBulgaria and eChile can not be allowed to happen again, and should probably be rectified if at all possible.

War:

War seems to be a large concern for many citizens in this game, I for one participate, but have a greater interest in other areas of the game. For that reason I will listen to what our allies and our great military strategists have to say and weigh their decisions with great thought and consideration, before coming up with a strategy the benefits every American, big or small.
