[CP] What eRepublik is all about.

Day 2,665, 12:56 Published in Pakistan Pakistan by TheJakal

Small countries have it really tough, countries with very little population always find it a struggle to attract new players, to build a community and to make something fun out of this game.

It's sad to say that Pakistan has gone into reversal where we are back to the Council of Elder's type situation where power rests with one person.

I am that one person who has both the funds and the influence to do whatever I want in this country and that is just sad.

There is racism in this game, there is cheating in this game, there is manipulation, deceit, distrust and above all the true purpose of this game has been forgotten.

I was elected for a 2nd term, with no campaign. Although the other guy did not prepare and although his friends tried very hard to get him to win they failed.

I've been thinking about this for the last few days about what is the problem in ePakistan. Is it distrust? Is it racism? What is it?

The answer is really much simpler than you can imagine. We don't play this game, we go through the motions on a daily basis because it has become part of routine or we are worried our str will not rise equally.

Yes, eRepublik administration have tilted the favour time and time again towards the Gold buyers but that shouldn't stop you from playing.

So I ask several questions:

1. Why are Party Presidents elected without a campaign?
2. Why are congress members elected without a campaign?
3. Why are there no discussions when laws are proposed?
4. Why was the CP elected without a campaign?
5. Why do you play eRepublik?

The game is a platform to have fun, it can be as fun as we make it or as boring as we make it and right now its boring. So quite frankly I don't know what people expect? I get messages to make people Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Education, Minister of Defence with no real reason to do so, with no track record, no past articles to see how well that person did.

If we continue like this, eventually more of us will leave. Hell I am contemplating it.

Every single citizen of ePakistan needs to participate, voice their opinions, make it fun, talk about the situation, brainstorm of how we can make it better. Which of course has to be tied into playing this game, just coming up with ideas or points isn't enough.

This eCountry even though is fake, deserves the respect of its citizens and the only way you can show this respect is by getting involved.
Until that involvement happens, people like myself will continue to rule this country and the very essence of democracy of which this game has been built on will be lost forever.

So don't expect anything from me. Not this term and not in the long term. Its now up to the 60 people who voted to get their act together. It's up to congress to start laying out the groundwork, its up to Party Presidents and Military Commanders to contribute. Me, I'm out.

Kind Regards
