{CP} CP Update 2 - MPP, CS, Depatmental updates

Day 3,035, 23:22 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

G'day eAustralia.

eAustralia, I hope your enjoying your weekend. I know I have manage to get out during the slightly better we have been having (not too hot and not too cold) to get back on the treadly and clock some healthy k's. But don't look too shocked, they all involved a nice unhealthy brunch.

But rather then bore you all on your weekend, I will try and make this little update and brief, so you can go back an enjoy the BBQ's, family time and time away from work/school/bingo.

MPP renewal's

These MPP renewals have continued, but to briefly update everyone:

Netherlands was passed 21 votes to 7.
Poland looks like it will pass in the next few minutes, also at 27 votes to 7
Czech is still going through the voting process, but is looking like it will pass as well.
Philippines which is a new one (see article here) looks like it will pass.

Looking ahead, we have Portugal coming up to expiry before a long break and then Israel. In regards to the Portugal MPP, your government and the Portuguese government have discussed it and it will not be renewed at this stage. This is due to no major threats happening in either countries sphere's of influence. However, both governments have pledge to sign a new one if things change and threats arise.

What does this mean for eAustralia all in all, it means nothing to drastic. eAustralia and ePortugal governments are still committed to working closely together and staying allies. However due to no major threats being on the horizon, delaying the renewing of our MPPs, allows both governments to save 10k each and utilise those funds elsewhere.

CS Passes

Since my last CP update, we have had two more CS passes hand out. Due to this I have looked into the CS issue more. I have also reached out to the top 5 party leaders to nominate a citizen to sit on the committee to try and do back ground checks on potential new citizens.

3 out of the 5 top parties have put a name forward. Due to the need to have something sorted out sooner then later, I will be picking 1 active person from the remaining 2 parties to take part in this committee.

We, the Australian government and congress, hope this will help calm down the issuing of CS passes and get the countries safety in the forefront of peoples minds when it comes to CS passes.

Department Updates

Department of Foreign Affairs
The DoFA has been hard at work with MPP renewals and looking into the South African Training War and the potential of another training war, be it run at the same time or closing one and starting another one.

Department of Entertainment and Education
The DoEE has recently released an article in regards to an 8 country competition based on the style of the 'Amazing Race'.
Also on the cards is a eWorld wide Chess competition. So if you think your a chess whizz, please comment below or send me a PM. Depending on how many people express interest, we might have direct entry or a eAustralian chess comp, to see who our contestant is.

Department of Defence
The DoD is plodding along, ensuring the DOs are updated. They should... be releasing a special edition newspaper on week change, highlighting the damage given by eAustralian MUs and fighters.

Department of Finance
The DoF will be releasing an article soon after day change with a weekend update. In it there will be plans outlining ideas of raising funds (do not worry, not in taxes) as well as a brief income/expenditure information.

Party President Elections

Well Party President elections will be on us in approx. 24hrs time. While it is up to the individual parties to release papers, drum up support for the candidates, I do want to make mention of your ability to vote.

You have the right to ask questions of your candidates, their plans and idea's, so ask away and then get out there and vote.

Well, now that brief update is over, relax and enjoy your weekend. Remember as per normal, if you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a PM or ask in the comments below.

Loyal Citizen of eAustralia
