{CP} CP Update 2 - MPP, CS, Depatmental updates
Aus Prime Minister Office
G'day eAustralia.
eAustralia, I hope your enjoying your weekend. I know I have manage to get out during the slightly better we have been having (not too hot and not too cold) to get back on the treadly and clock some healthy k's. But don't look too shocked, they all involved a nice unhealthy brunch.
But rather then bore you all on your weekend, I will try and make this little update and brief, so you can go back an enjoy the BBQ's, family time and time away from work/school/bingo.
These MPP renewals have continued, but to briefly update everyone:
Netherlands was passed 21 votes to 7.
Poland looks like it will pass in the next few minutes, also at 27 votes to 7
Czech is still going through the voting process, but is looking like it will pass as well.
Philippines which is a new one (see article here) looks like it will pass.
Looking ahead, we have Portugal coming up to expiry before a long break and then Israel. In regards to the Portugal MPP, your government and the Portuguese government have discussed it and it will not be renewed at this stage. This is due to no major threats happening in either countries sphere's of influence. However, both governments have pledge to sign a new one if things change and threats arise.
What does this mean for eAustralia all in all, it means nothing to drastic. eAustralia and ePortugal governments are still committed to working closely together and staying allies. However due to no major threats being on the horizon, delaying the renewing of our MPPs, allows both governments to save 10k each and utilise those funds elsewhere.
Since my last CP update, we have had two more CS passes hand out. Due to this I have looked into the CS issue more. I have also reached out to the top 5 party leaders to nominate a citizen to sit on the committee to try and do back ground checks on potential new citizens.
3 out of the 5 top parties have put a name forward. Due to the need to have something sorted out sooner then later, I will be picking 1 active person from the remaining 2 parties to take part in this committee.
We, the Australian government and congress, hope this will help calm down the issuing of CS passes and get the countries safety in the forefront of peoples minds when it comes to CS passes.
Department of Foreign Affairs
The DoFA has been hard at work with MPP renewals and looking into the South African Training War and the potential of another training war, be it run at the same time or closing one and starting another one.
Department of Entertainment and Education
The DoEE has recently released an article in regards to an 8 country competition based on the style of the 'Amazing Race'.
Also on the cards is a eWorld wide Chess competition. So if you think your a chess whizz, please comment below or send me a PM. Depending on how many people express interest, we might have direct entry or a eAustralian chess comp, to see who our contestant is.
Department of Defence
The DoD is plodding along, ensuring the DOs are updated. They should... be releasing a special edition newspaper on week change, highlighting the damage given by eAustralian MUs and fighters.
Department of Finance
The DoF will be releasing an article soon after day change with a weekend update. In it there will be plans outlining ideas of raising funds (do not worry, not in taxes) as well as a brief income/expenditure information.
Well Party President elections will be on us in approx. 24hrs time. While it is up to the individual parties to release papers, drum up support for the candidates, I do want to make mention of your ability to vote.
You have the right to ask questions of your candidates, their plans and idea's, so ask away and then get out there and vote.
Well, now that brief update is over, relax and enjoy your weekend. Remember as per normal, if you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a PM or ask in the comments below.

Loyal Citizen of eAustralia

Really? What nonsense is this...
In the DoFA article we have loads of money for MPPs apparently. Now we are saving 10k CC by not renewing with our last Asterian MPP?!
What happened to the Rusty D campaign article that said he's a big fan of our MPP stack and wouldn't want to see it reduced just to save money (I paraphrase)??
It looks like we are shedding MPPs that aren't run by Rusty's mates...
And picking CS committee members? Bleh... Why don't you just go back to letting in who you want again, like December? It's quite clear you're able to message anyone you please when it suits - if the PP is inactive ask some of the other titles members. If a party refuses to participate, don't go behind their backs.
Wow.... since your in the DoFA thread where I said that Portugal didnt want to renew..... but hey that is my choice is it?? I better tell Portugal that they better sign a MPP against there wishes otherwise Ilene will think evil.
Uhmmm.... I know your not in congress, but I did go to congress and ask them for suggestions since the PP didnt respond. That is where I got one of the parties people to step up.
So before you start trying to light a fire, get your facts correct first, otherwise you will make your self look pretty silly.
I know why Portrugal is not renewing. That's not what you wrote here.
Re:calling for volunteers for the CS committee. Haven't you ever heard of the saying "People who seek power are among the last who should be given it."
Well, as I stated, I asked for volunteers before I will pick someone. If we want people to fulfill the role an act properly, we need someone to step up. If I say 'your going to be on the committee ' how am I meant to know if they are going to be active enough or actually want to take part / help?
Portugal not renewing is different to what is wrote here? Please do tell the reason then, since I was in the discussion with them and not you. Unless you have been told something different to me.
Have you thought at all how dodgy that sounds? It's the internet and so very very easy to fake spontaneous volunteering. Especially if you took the first person to come forward... Why the big secrecy all the time? Are you hiding something?
Personally, I find trusting people with responsibility results in them stepping up their game to match - you get back much more than you give this way. Sure, some disappoint, but not many.
Last month Portrugal weren't overly keen on renewing either. At first it was no. Then we were to pay their half. They signed and consented to pay their part in the end though. Maybe we should look for a real war somewhere, to encourage them to stick around? 🙂
Wow someones claws are out. Your time of the month Ilene?
Woof!
Sorry, argue the issue next time. I've never liked ad hominem attacks.
Sorry had to re-read it as I am still shocked that even though your involved in the FA thread, you dont know what is going on. You state 'shredding' that implies a plural and not a singular, which would be 'shredded'. So please tell me what other MPPs that I have 'shredded'?
But like a time line of events, I will answer each statement of yours... so the wider audience can see the answers to it:
- Not nonsense
- We do have loads of money, and other Asterian MPPs we had were lost when we started the TW with South Africa.... in your term. But is an Asterian MPP of great urgency? considering they know we are friendly and we would be forcing them to choose between us and South Africa?
- Rusty's mates? I would like to see come clarification on that statement. Who are my mates? who arent? Please do tell me if 'I' am choosing MPPs based on my friends/mates...
- CS committee members, well considering I asked congress after some PP's didnt reply... but hey fact finding before accusing most be something that you dont do. 30 odd people will confirm that as well, so I am not trying to write 'nonsense'
No, you won't get me to play your endless detail request and clarification game. The Philippines are stuffed full of your mates, by my own observations over the months. Disagree with me, I dare ya. 🙂 Then if we are to play this game properly, explain what MPPs you actually want (both from current and otherwise). This is likely quite different to what we have, isn't it?
Re: committee seats. You demonstrated in the Feb congress elections how easy it is to put a flunky in a different uniform (I refer to Caesar II moving to ADP from RSU after proposing troll laws). Without knowing who these people are, there is zero guarantee that you haven't simply stuffed the place with zombies and yes-men who have "miraculously" changed Party.
I did forget to address part of your question...
Yes, having one Asterian MPP in the list for a nominal pro-Asterian country is important. Image is important. Especially after the Chilean protectorate debacle last time you were CP.
So you disagree with the Philippines because they are 'stuffed full of my mates' sorry if I get along with people, but if you believe that Australia should not sign a MPP with another country, because the CP knows their leaders, well you should of spoken up against it in the article that was released... And also Netherlands renewal, Cz, Japan etc etc, as I tend to call a lot of people my friends.
I find your comments about me and flunkies very funny. About players moving parties to troll... The same comment which is liked by Guag, who mistake me if I am wrong has moved from the ADP to the KHMC.... But if someone agrees with something this current government has proposed, they must be 'yes men' (no yes women... That is sexist), so by your logic, a recent MPP law that past with 21 votes.... Would that make Me + 20 yes men voting for it?
I never said I disagreed with the Philippines. Just the reasons you put out in public. An inconsistent message about funds availability. You can make whatever proposals you feel are appropriate, and congress can either agree with them or not.
There is nothing wrong with starting an MPP because of a personal relationship. That's normally how things start. Cooperation builds to the point where there are friends at many levels. This is what has happened with Japan and the Czech Republic.
What I find objectionable in this particular case is the abandonment of Portrugal (our last Asteria MPP, for a nominally pro-Asteria nation currently led by a CP who got us in hot water flirting with "the enemy" last time he was in charge), because of cost issues per this article, and its apparent replacement with The Philippines. The Philippines apparently fight for us already, and we have plenty of cash for more MPPs (according to the recent DoFA article).
I am glad I've made you laugh. You sound like you could use it! 🙂
Guag is making a great run at KHMC PP - see how popular his articles are? And no PM spam involved yet either. Guag and I have chatted privately, because I was concerned he was just trolling us too. It turns out he has some serious and genuine reform ideas. Trolliness is just his communication style.
Please, do continue the personal attacks (sexist, ha!) and gratuitous digs and groups I associate with. It makes fascinating reading. I do still wait for an answer to my question about what MPPs you actually want. Perhaps that could be another article you author? Which org will you use to publish it?
As like all my articles I ask for questions and I will answer them. Since your asking the acting CP, it would be more appropriate to use the CP paper to answer it. (unsure if it was a referal about me writing a FA article on the law proposal...)
Plus from any paper I write, be it from a private org or government one, I tend to sign it off with my name, so people can see who wrote it and who to address their questions too.
As stated above and in the comments, one can not force another nation to sign a MPP with eAustralia if it is not what they want to do. And the reason given is not money, as stated above, instead if you read the article, the saving of 10k is an added bonus.
You also being well versed in politics, should be aware Asteria will help us in a time of need, with or without a MPP. They also know once there is no MPP conflicts due to the TW with South Africa we will be re-signing MPPs that were broken during that time.
Attacks, sorry I have not seen any attacks by me onto you. Be them digs or a go at the groups you associat with.
Yes to everything. Yes yes yes yes yes
Let's take this "Asteria will help us if we need it" idea further. Why do we have any MPPs with our allies? Surely they'd all sign if we needed it?
If you're looking to re-sign Serbia and Romania, is that an announcement that the South African TW is nearly concluded?
All your questions will be answered in the Q&A update. And considering your in the FA thread, you know my ideas on the TW with South Africa already.
But I do understand if your asking redundant questions, to try and get the citizens informed, but considering I plan on answering it all in my next article, as stated above... well the question still remains redundant.
*Gets popcorn*
That will cost you 0.11 CC, or 0.10 CC if you pay cash direct. 😉
