📍British Empire Party (BEP) Headquarters. For the first time, to reach my office I had to elude a pack of journalists camped outside. Weird. Inside, finally playing chess instead of redacting press releases. Enters the director of campaigning. This time I want to shoot first.

— Where are the garlands?
— We don’t have any. Honestly, the result surprised us, Mil.
— Kinda like that nickname.
— And now, what will you do?
I look at Sir Claudio Ranieri on the Leicester Title mug. “I’m sorry I failed you”. Now on the wall beside the posters of Dua Lipa there is one of my electoral campaign. It says: Time for National Healing. Might work even as the title for an album, who knows.
— The same thing we do every day, sir. Trying to the make the vibes great again.

From the spin doctor a full Facepalm, oil on canvas. I owe him one.
— Let me show you something.
— What’s that?
— A selfie at the party after the Presidential Debate.
— Why on Earth are you dressed like Luke Skywalker?
— Because I was the “New Hope”.
— The Young Pope?
— Forget about it, we have to focus on the reelection in the district…
— Wait, we have Downing Street on the line.
— Oh gosh, I might have parked in a double row!

️This RPG is, as always, only to remind we’re here only to have fun. Let me just add a few lines. I have to thank every single one who voted for me: 39 is more than triple the size of the British Empire Party, with a gap of only 5 votes to the sitting President. It was a result beyond any expectation; another proof - if you needed one - that this community can make a former foreigner feel at home and include him at the highest levels of the gameplay.

Let me thank MIK for endorsing my candidature from day one, with unbeatable advises, and all BEP members for having shared the platform and encouraged me. Thanks also to fellow TRS for supporting the candidate of another party, and to Mr Woldy in particular. Finally, thanks to Huey George (to whom I already made private congregations this morning) for having accepted to share an effort to depolarise our contest.

🤝English is not my first language, but the choice of words is not random. In my view, there are only competitors: not enemies nor opponents. And the competition should be fair, open, and based on mutual respect and institutional sense. I believe that, if anything, my candidature and the polite debates (here the are [1] and [2]) we’ve had succeeded in this. With no presumption, I hope that what we’ve seen this month will set a new standard. A legacy. But we will repair social fabric, and endure national reconciliation, only with a collective effort.
With all my limits, I’ve tried to run a non-partisan and independent campaign. Thanks from the bottom of these pixels to everyone who believed in it. You’ll find me at the Westminster cafe, sipping a tea. I fully recognise the clear electoral result and wish good work to the new Cabinet. BEP will loyally provide the votes needed for the financial balance, and try to pursue a constructive way to the Political Module.
