[BEP] Manifesto of an alternative

Day 5,888, 02:42 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by militarista
How it might went. A snowy morning, in the headquarters of the British Empire Party. I am in the office of the Spokesman, in the basement of a half-void Victorian Palace, sipping a coffee in a mug with the portrait of Claudio Ranieri. Enters our spin doctor:

— Two days two the Presidential Elections.
— I can't, I have Pilates class.
— We are not asking, the Party needs to offer an alternative to the electorate. It is in our statute.
— Why me?
— We got your records...
— In Parliament?
— No, there you only show up to scrounge free coffee.
— And to provide my vote to avoid the shutdown.
— Whatever makes you sleep.

The director nods at my previous campaign posters, glued on the walls of the office next to framed photos of the only not temporary authority I recognize, Dua Lipa.

— You have done it before, you can do it again.
— In Italy? One time I was dethroned in a palace coup after a few days; got popular support, though. The second time barely made to end of the month.
— I read on the Wiki, your government tried to end neutrality and to fight an independence war against Balkans superpowers.
— And to establish death penalty for ananas on pizza.
— Understood... I was starting to think, we might ask an intern to run in your place?
— Oh, do we have some?
— Last time was at the times of Waterloo.

I feel the duty, now. I look at Dua, she smiles back. From the table, the voice of Mr. Claudio resonates. Dilly ding, dilly dong. The chances are roughly the same of his sportive miracle, with Leicester back in 2016.

How it really went. On a more serious note, I think a desire to end the Civil War we witness is felt within the community. In these times, the electorate and the elected tend to overlap: I believe, the active citizenry goes beyond the 40 seats in Parliament, an institution that should never reflect the polarisation of politics, but foster cooperation and scrutiny to the government. And debate in a civil way.

🇬🇧Flame and propaganda, on both sides, are part of the game. We all know that. They play a part in creating the Rpg atmosphere that keeps us logging every day. Recently, we have seen some excesses. A time for a national reconciliation has come.

On cabinet. The BEP aims to offer a non partisan candidature, beyond the factions of a bipolar schematism. National government should reclutate the best talents of the Country, with no care of their Party affiliation.

That is why this manifesto calls the free and fresh energies of our community who are willing to serve the eUK but have been prevented, or have not been offered a chance yet, to join our efforts. This should be the standard, not a revolutionary stance: I hope it will return so.

Hopefully, every party should be represented. To provide stability, and offer consistency and expertise, in two crucial positions we would see:
1️⃣Mr Immanuel Kant as Vice-President
2️⃣Huey George willing to continue his work as Governor to foster an eventual transition
Updates:
3️⃣AMD. as MoD, the pun is non inteded.
4️⃣as Speaker of the House, Citoyen Vigneron will be permanent invited to Cabinet sessions
5️⃣Mr Woldy would serve as MoEnt, delegated also to Home Affairs

📣 We know the odds are against us. In a Parliamentary Democracy, though, we think every party owes to citizens an alternative when there is an election – especially a crucial one such as the Presidential. BEP dreams to embody that alternative, not a B Plan.

“Silent leges inter arma” is both Cicero and and old cult, but also a reminder that participation should not be delegated to minorities. For this reason I focused on this ambition, before citing the same stuff: engage in TWs, communicate and respond to Congress, expand player support. A new environment seems the best gift we could offer to new citizens.

I know it is not the most attractive platform to offer to a country keen to see more bitterness spilled. As was said we are fully aware we are not the hero Gotham the eUK deserves, but not the ones it needs right now.

> The eUK offered this old pirate an incredible hospitality, trying to repay it was the bare minimum I could do.

👑Thanks in any case for your attention and God Save the Queen – still speaking of Dua Lipa, of course
