This past month, I have had the wonderful privilege of serving you in the hallowed halls of Congress. Truly, these are majestic walls - if only they could talk, the stories they could tell!
One story I would have loved to have heard (alas, I was not yet born) would be the drama of Jacobi and the government as they vacated Parliament Hill as it was swarmed with foreign invaders, and they escaped with their very lives! But I digress.

I am writing to ask you, my constituents, to extend my privilege of serving you in Congress for the month of December. I could tell stories too - of debates long into the night, as passions flair,
and opinions boldly declared!

One insight I have gained is that there is verly little in the way of party discipline - by that, I mean members voting along party lines. Often as we have spirited debate in congress, I've noticed that those who support an issue come from each of the five parties, and those who oppose the same issue also represent each of the five parties. An intriguing system we have going for us! In fact, I love it, because it allows me to work with anyone who has the same view - party politics don't seem to get in the way.

I have supported the raising of import taxes, as I promised in my platform. However, this work has only just begun. It must be continued with higher import taxes for other raw materials and
manufactured goods. I will push for this. And I will continue to push for economic policy which will make it more difficult for foregin companies to participate in our economy, and thus ease
the competition for our companies. We are resource rich - there is no reason the Ukraine and Greece should be exporting more than we do. Nor should we be the #3 Importing country in all the eWorld, but that is a sad commentary that producing raw materials and finished products is cheaper in other countries. We should have one of the lowest import rates in all the world!

I have also supported the Peace Treaty with France. Any time we can, in good faith, end hostilities with a neighbouring country can only increase our security. I believe that there was good faith exercised by both their and our governments in this endeavour.

I also realized that one of the methods I had suggested was inadequate and not suited for well for this game. I had proposed that business owners mentor the new citizens who they employ, but I quickly realized that it would depend on the good will and effort of every business owner to do this - not something that most would want to do, nor have time to.

So in response, as an MP for Saskatchewan, I developed a program where I would send a PM to each and every new eCanadian born in Saskatchewan, within 4 days of their eBirth, and sometimes as quickly as one day. I made contact with them, directed them to the New Citizen Guide put out by the Ministry of Education, and also provided additional help and advice, if asked. It is terribly important for eCanada's future to have more active, long term players stay in the game. I pledge to continue to do this all my days in Congress.

And so, I ask that you return me to these halls and walls on Election Day, so that I may continue in being a part in history, and to have my name whispered by the walls to other congressman in the future - to be a part of another story.

On November 25, please remember to vote for Wilhelm Gunter as MP for Saskatchewan.
