Dance and be in love
Chris Carnage
I was surprised about a few things after my great escape, but none more so than finding that eChile was occupying eAus. Back in the day we were on good terms with eChile despite usually being on the opposite side of alliance politics. Back then eChile was a small player, similar to eAus, and now they're ranked 3. Awesome job eChile! Babyboomaxxx.
At first I was all like WTF?!? Then I find that eChile are only here because their own homeland is occupied and they need to protect the babies.
So I'm here to say "Welcome eChile". I'd always find space on the couch for a friend in need, and this country is big enough for both of us to play in.
Of course it's usually polite for a house guest to ask first rather than just move in, and not to move straight into the master bedroom, but hey - we can forgive little misunderstandings for the sake of long-term friendships.
So, how about you give us a few regions back, maybe a little rent if you're good for it, and you're welcome to stay as long as you need. And who knows, maybe we'll ask you to return the favour someday? We can stay up late every night after you've put the kids to bed and drink cheap wine, listen to bad music and talk crap
Life's too short to get all butthurt over little misunderstandings. Let's dance and be in love!

Dance and be in love!!
You haven't been reading Chilean newspapers have you Chris.
Unless there is a silent majority of Chilean readers who think as you do, you will find that the Chilean attitude is hey, lets emulate the conquistadors of old. Argentenians are arrogant pigs because of what they have done, but its OK for us to do the same because we are victims. I think they want not only the master bedroom, but the house as well. So, put away the condoms, pick up your rifle & show the uninvited guests the door.
Those crazy Chileans, always good with the propaganda. I'd be surprised if their news articles are any more representative of Chilean opinion than mine is representative of Australian opinion (and I'm sure it isn't).
Still, we have enough people to fight with and I have no gripe with eChile.
Chris, I don't think anybody has a gripe with Chile
Their only factor in our relations with them is that they consider their right to exist as an eNation overrides ours. That they intend to stay "here" whilever they cannot stay "there"
And maybe just a bit longer if they reckon they can get away with it. As for how representative/popular a paper is, refer to the votes it gets.
And remember, their National motto "By Reason or Force" . Don't be to anxious to talk while there are other avenues
I understand your point of view Louise and I hope you understand mine. Every country has its militants and trolls, sometimes shit happens and it's wrong but it doesn't have to define the relationship forevermore. I believe we can avoid establishing another long-term poisonous neighbourly hate-fest here and I think it's worth trying.
The paths of Chile & Australia would never have crossed except for a bit of planning on NZ & Chile, & us being sucked in to a "training war".
I agree we should not have a poisonous relationship with any nation - BUT seriously, all nations need to understand what we will & will not put up with. When Chile has learnt its lesson I am sure we will be friends - as long as we never turn our back to them - I think we should treat them as a more easterly sort of Kiwiland.
Dance and be in love!!

Chris Carnage, welcome back to the game.
Seems you have been missing the action and chronologic aspect here.
What you are suggesting in you article indeed was actioned some weeks ago.
eChile found a transitional solution to "survive" the re-invasion of Argentina, and that was actually your country. We have had not the best relations with eAustralia, but neither the worst in erepublik.
(continues)
On the one side, we have witnessed you guys playing a card to kick us out of Terra and recent assitance to eArgentina to invade Chile, so it's quite a plausible fair and square consecuence to stand in front of your doors and let you pay the bill for it.
But shortly after the total conquest of eAustralia, e Chile has offered to give you guys back NT to keep you on the map.
(continues)
This deal has been delayed somewhat, especially because of the indecision of the previous eAustralian Government to agree on the NAP, and finally proceeded to realize. Unfortunately this was done very shortly before the time run up for running a australian congress + the "helpful" hand of your eArgentine "allies" to make this fail, eArgentines were actually hitting very hard for eChile (!) in NT to make this deal fail !
(continues)
this eArgentine initiative hitting against eAutralian resistance in NT "succeeded" for you not getting a congress, and now they enjoy that hawks like Louise do blame us for this and play the "void" card in regards to the NAP. Indeed we had almost a week of the NAP working, and you guys had NT and Queensland given back. But you have then, pushed by the Hawks, delcared us NE again and started to recampaign. This is just few days ago, making it impossible at the moment to reestablish negotiations.
you will surely understand, that NOW the circumstances and feelings are not very positive in eChile to grant again free land to you guys, as trust is currently broken. We understand you will fight for your land to recover which is your right (as we also plan for Chile), but will demand you more emphasis and let you understand the consecuences of betraying us repeatedly in shortest time.
Nevertheless I am rather a pro of the idea to have friendly relations with you guys in a future.
PS: Subbed
Thanks for the detailed history Manrod78, and for the sub 😛
I guess if we all thought about it for long enough we could find blame and mistrust everywhere. eAustralia is fairly good at that (you should see our politics 😛). I'm just hoping to show a little goodwill and maybe in time we can overcome the mistrust and bitterness.
It's all possible of course, I still remember eAus being invaded by eBrazil and eArg but we've got over that and we're friends.
Detailed history???
he fed you myth & Legend Chris.
wherever are you getting this mistrust & bitterness garbage from : (
there is NO bitterness anywhere I can see
mistrust?
what did that US President say
"Walk quietly & carry a big stick" Don't foolishly trust any nation (other than Greece & Ireland)
Save your love & goodwill till after Chile has left & then you can love them till your heart bursts
Chill Louise, y so srs? I'm not naive enough to swallow one side of a story (either side). It's obvious why eChile are here and obvious that we'd like to have our country back. When someone goes to a lot of trouble to explain themselves I believe it is polite to show appreciation for that.
As for bitterness and mistrust, I'm very pleased that you feel neither. I must have got the wrong impression.
Can we dance now? I'm bored with waiting for health refresh...😛
Hey I am tempted, but you cannot Samba as well as those Latin Americans
Besides I rather busy right now, I am writing an article for Manrod, showing to him the pervasiveness of traitorous behaviour in Chilean society.
I am convinced it started when they betrayed Spain their rightful ruler.
Besides why have you reservations about Australia's story - surely you know DocterDry well enough to understand he never lies
Talk with Chile? Yea, right...when they leave all our regions
