Building up our Nation through the Media: A Contest

Day 1,589, 10:48 Published in Canada Canada by Wilhelm Gunter

Who is eCanada’s best example of the Unsung Hero? This could be somebody who has effectively served eCanada in virtual anonymity for a long period of time.

Outstanding Citizen? This might include citizens with great integrity or has done much for eCanada in the public spotlight.

Most Patriotic eCanadian? This might be someone with great spirit and commitment to our eNation.

Who do you, the eCanadian Public think, deserves to win this:

That’s right, I am offering the 5 Gold I won for winning congress this term and the 5 Gold I will win tomorrow for Hard Worker, as prizes in this contest.

You, a member of eCanada’s public, will nominate an individual who, in your mind, deserves to win 5 Gold. You will then write an article in the media extolling this individual, why he or she should win this contest. You may use one of the categories above, or come up with your own.

If your article is selected, you will win 5 Gold and the person you have exalted in your article will win 5 Gold.

Nominees, for example, could be Cabinet Ministers, individuals from an MU, a prolific writer, or a Poltical Party stalwart, but they do not have to be.

Judges will be Chamrajnagar, myself, and a yet to be named judge (just waiting for confirmation).

Here are the rules.

1. It is open to anyone with eCanadian citizenship (both author and subject must be eCanadian) as of yesterday, day 1588. The subject should be a currently active eCanadian.

2. You cannot nominate and write about yourself, nor one of the judges.

3. One winning article will be selected based upon 2 criteria: Truthfulness/accuracy, & literary style/presentation. If English is not your first language, please indicate this in a comment to your own article.

4. Pictures are not allowed. Effort is to be focused on literary style and content. However, you may include the avatar of the subject of your article to help us get a mental imagine of whom you write about.

5. Lulz entries will not be considered.

6. Articles should be posted on Thursday or Friday of this week (Day 1591 or 1592). They should be posted with a [BUN] tag in the title of your article, and posted in the “Social Interactions & Entertainment” section of our media. Contest closes @ 10 pm EST (7 pm game time) on Day 1592. Please also post a link to your article in the comments section of this article.

So there you go eCanada!
