Blakeways Offical BDP PP Manifesto Launch - Issue 02 - 09 Jun
Jake Lee Blakeway
Here it is. My official launch for the BDP presidency. It's going to be exciting. And I am looking forward to hopefully getting more than one vote. I have created a document to help with all this - My own Manifesto. I would urge everyone in the BDP to read this, but also people form other parties. It outlines my vision for the eUK and what I would like to achieve if I did become BDP president.
This is by no means the end. I have alot more to say. I just didn't want to end up writing a 50 page booklet.
The Manifesto is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rvugggvv8he31nt/BDP%20Party%20Presidency%20Manifesto.pdf?dl=0
You will need to copy and paste the link. For some reason. Clicking on it won't work
EDIT: I Hate PDF Converters. It pushed all my background images up from the bottom. Grr, knew I should of kept it in word format
Hopefully you will enjoy it. But for now. Ta Ta!

Managed to grab 5 minutes to read your manifesto.
There are some good ideas in there but there are a few points I would like to make.
1. You talk about a encouraging a free market by controlling the gold price. This goes against the free market idea of supply & demand. So maybe rebrand that notion because its a bit confusing.
2. We currently have a cross party committee that screens immigration appliants and produce a report & recommendation. Congress then votes on it.
3. The NHS is a non govenmental organisation so it this them that dictate the level they stop helping citizens. But maybe if they have more funding they could help more people.
That is what I can think of off the top of my head.
I do believe in a free market economy. However that being said, Gold is far too important to leave to free market forces without a attempt at oversight. By building a reserve, we could step in when needed to help the price of gold when it mattered.
In the case of immigration that is great. I was not sort of model had been adopted or not. I would however like to see this model pushed further across the government and apply to other departments, allowing minor parties to have some government influence.
Currently the eNHS is not part of the government. I would like to change that however, and officially take it under the governments wing. This would mean that we could support it much more, by allowing congress to fund it at a much higher level than it is now. I believe by making the eNHS part of the government, we can help raise it's profile too.

Obviously you wouldn't know being a new player, hopefully you win the election and will know 😉 There is a Party President group of PMs set up after every election, working together including parties not in the top 5, they have done great things in the past, including writing the first draft of the eUK Constitution 😉
You don't believe in the free market nor understand it if you think that controlling currency artificially is a necessity to allow the free market to thrive - not that would be a free market at all. Such ideas were debunked and proven to be inane in the 70s and 80s - go on and read about it.
Speaking as a member of UKPP who has served the country and party in congress and government (albeit at a rather inconvenient juncture for the latter), I would seek to distance myself and, I am certain, other party luminaries who have sat in office as representatives in one form or another from the actions of our party leader.
At no point did the party sanction any "alliance" with the BDP. Had such a motion be proposed, I feel it highly unlikely that it would have passed. Furthermore, King William exceeded his mandate during the recent Presidential elections, firstly by setting himself up as candidate and secondly by not allowing the option of a "free vote," i.e. have the party run no candidate and officially support no candidate.
I take this opportunity once more, King William (since I'm sure you'll probably read this) to ask, for the public record, for you to name all current and previous eRep identities you control or have controlled.
That out of the way, a few more points on your manifesto. Taking away the independence of the NHS is generally regarded as a Bad Thing. While I applaud your ideas to extend the eligibility criteria to a higher level, most fighters will (and certainly should) be self-sufficient by the time they reach Division 2 at the latest.
Creation of more Military Units also goes against the grain. It's widely accepted that eUK has far too many units for a country of it's size and it was partly due to this that MEK recently gained control of the country.
There are already "blacklists" floating about, and there were proposals for others to be added in congress following the recent hostile takeover. Immigration is currently controlled by committee, and they seem to be doing a fine job.
I wish you all the luck in the world in your bid for BDP presidency. o7
This is news to me. My experience from within the BDP seemed to suggest a deal. I know that Bruce Wayne and King William seem to be good friends, and since I have a feeling that Bruce Wayne has a large amount of Multis in the BDP. I am guessing that it was just a unspoken alliance. I apologise if I have caused any offence to any UKRP members.
As for the eNHS, I don't see how more resources, more staff and increased exposure can be a bad thing? I understand that you might be afraid that having a government breathing down it's neck might cause its efficiency to drop. However I will make sure that this does not happen, by allowing the current eNHS directors to maintain a high level of autonomy.
Regarding Army Units. While I suggest that we create three more. I am suggesting we close down many more. We get people to move across to state sponsored Units which allows us to keep closer tabs on our troops and allows us a government to more effectively assess our armies strength, as opposed to having to look at loads of different Units. I think this a good move, you quite rightly, can disagree.
Any "deal" was done behind the back of the UKPP membership. Had it been known such a deal was being proposed, I would imagine the vast majority of the party would have voted against it. There's no offence taken from you - it's a welcome breath of fresh air to hear from anyone from the BDP outside of the core "leadership".
More resources and staff are always a good thing for the NHS, though I personally feel they should rethink their remit to help younger players increase their strength rather than helping them fight at low strength.
I misunderstood your proposal on military units. Yes, we do need fewer.
Why is it 11 pages long? ;_;
Because there is alot to say. However, this was the short version. I have been working on a much bigger one aha xD
tl:dr; Change is good, Jake has good ideas xD

Chill yer beans
gotta love that manifesto.
It's probably a better idea to write and share documents in gdocs- much easier!
Hindsight is such a beautiful thing. I work with word wayyyy to much. Don't worry. Next time it will be better. I promise.
Haha, np.
Incredible manifesto btw.
Thank you Gali. That means alot coming from a experienced member such as yourself.
I think UKRP comment more on here than their own articles, guys sign this guy up for UKRP he will do in party.
If you can maintain this workrate and level of enthusiasm, you'll be CP in a couple of months!
(not from BDP though)
