Hey eCanada,
If you didn't notice the server maintenance at 12 am today, there was a new tax implemented. Like every player in eRep I hate the economy, but now this new workers tax gives a reason for the government to grab at my money like its fricken Swiss Milk chocolate. The workers tax is the new tax that now taxes both employees and managers. It costs managers even more money to operate a weapons and food factories as well as paying for the workers. The tax is calculated on the managers' salary and can be from 1%-25%. This new tax would certainly help congress pay for MPP's but sadly our homeland is occupied by the Spaniards. If eRep wanted to be as realistic as our own world then I congratulate them, you've put countries without congress into more economic turmoil.
But that's just a young guns opinion.

Another pure example of admins grabbing more money from little countries that can't afford to buy bread. I don't quite know what they were thinking when making this but whoever thought of it needs dragging out his office and shooting.
1. Upgrading companies
2. Deleted countries withouth congress buy money or go bankrupt.
And clubbed, stabbed, hung, drawn and quartered and generally tormented.
Execute them, Old Yeller style?

This is what I told the Irish community:

2. Organise yourself and start working on minimal wages or 1cc and donate the other part of the salary directly to the player.
3. Stop working in factories in which you have no profit or it is 0. The prices will go a little bit up and you may find yourself with profit again.
4. In one month the average wage will have gone down to normal 10-15 cc.
5. I see your minimal wage is 0,10 cc. It should rise slowly. Try 1cc in 5 days, then 2cc in 10 days and analyse the profitabilty of the people and the income of the treasury. Then you can play a little bit with the taxes. May be change VAT for some balance or smth. Can't say right now. 🙂

2. and 3. goes for everyone, even without congress.
The game developers should next implement cholera epidemics that break out among the war torn nations without governments. Cuz like when you have no Congress, it's not likely anyone is out there paying the plumbers to keep the pipes working. And street urchins begging and stealing amid the filthy&overflowing gutters, those are needed, too.
Believe me, this is the last damn thing we wanted in the MoF. This new tax will make people stop production, and thus the income of the government is severly lowered. If we get congress, this tax if the first thing that goes to the block.
Sell all your factories and forget about the economic module altogether.
