[WTP] Bears, Wolves and Ponies ~ We Have it ALL

First, let me know in the comments what do you think of the DESPICABLE ME movie. In my previous article I did share my thoughts about it and got some positive feedback 😁

This time the topic is the Wolverine. The very last movie of the MARVEL production series. And while the X-Men movies have been a real rockstar, Wolverine is way more simple. But better. The plot can be seen in 99% of the other action movies - the main male character has to save the princess (he even calls her "princess" lol - it's SO OBVIOUS), they fall in love, he kills the bad guy who actually has been his friend before and she kills her first lover who has joined the dark side. But, somehow, behind this trivial plot the director James Mangold has succeeded to set in a very special story.

The character of Logan, the Wolverine, is one of a kind. He is unique. Anything said about him just won't be enough. He isn't a team player and we've seen that in the previous movies. In the Wolverine he and only him is on the spotlight, finally we can see the best out of him. A soldier, looking for justice and fairness, not capable of allowing discrimination and crime to take place around him. It all starts with looking for peace, going through helping out a friend to falling in love and becoming ready to sacrifice his own life for somebody else. Although he is immortal 😃 But what was different, tho, was the way the character's internal conversations were displayed. His nightmares with his ex-girlfriend who he killed some time ago won't leave him alone. They push him towards self-distruction. But then they are countered ... by the new love. An epic battle of characters, which Mariko will win in the end.

I personally fell in love with Mariko. While sitting in that cinema, so badly I wanted to be the wolf on the screen. But in the end of the day I am nothing more than a care bear. The transformation Mariko goes through in the movie is very interesting as well: in the beginning she is nothing but a little girl - her grandfather she loved the most in this world dies, her husband-to-be is allowed to hit her in the face, she wants to escape from this world; when her world is falling appart, she puts her earphones and disconnects from this world. In the next moment she is taking care of the wounded wolf and rightfully taking her place as the most powerful person in Japan.

So, it does sound like any other movie, right? What if I tell you that he faces 300 ninjas and kills them all? You would expect that too, huh? Well, it doesn't happen that way, actually 😐 >_> they catch him and then cripple him. Sorry to be the one telling you that... Watch the movie to know what happens ^_~



So, how is this relevant to eRep? Every society goes through some kind of transition. New community leaders take over governmental powers from their mentors. Not everybody likes that and problems occur. But this is when new community leaders rise up and clear the mess. They lead up the pack through their strengths as an individual, but also make the world a better place by sharing responsibility and

In reference to that, I'd like to make you think and ask you a question: Who are our leaders of tomorrow? Where are they to find? Have we allowed them to take more responsibility and to develop their eCharacters better?

I am positive, that we, in the WE THE PEOPLE, (thanks to Hale26, Mazzy Cat and Talostastic) have raised some great characters and they DESERVE your vote TODAY.
