[CPF] Military Units & July 25th.

Unfortunately, it is rare in eCanada these days to find a group of people who can put political differences aside in order to put the best interests of eCanada first.

A case in point is the recent drive to get government funding for the newly named Military Unit, the Night’s Watch. Commanded by Tyrael Snow the Night’s Watch boasts well over 100 members and ranks in the top 5 of our nations’ Military Units in terms of daily kills.

The first of the Candian Progressive Front’s seven tenets is to “Uphold the equality of all military units”. No unit should receive preferential treatment, nor should one be discriminated against without cause. The Canadian Progressive Front is at the forefront on this battle. Two Canadian Progressive Front members, Plugson and Crisfire, have argued this in the halls of Open Door Congress, and they have been stirring the pot in game as well, through shouts and articles and comments.

This is in direct opposition to most, if not all of the Coalition – the Military Dictatorship Party & Norsefire. It was odd to find that a group of congressmen who were largely focused on the military of this game would deny funding to a group of eCanadian soldiers primarily because they took issue with their Commander’s abrasive nature. In fact, in crisfire’s latest article he details, congressman by congressman, of how the vote which denied the Night’s Watch funding went down. Interestingly, of the 14 no votes, 13 came from the Coalition.

Now that raises an interesting question: Why would the party which backs our President Dictator do this, when he has gone on public record more than once that he supports military funding for all of eCanada’s soldiers? Oh to have been a fly on the wall during that conversation! Clearly our first ever elected Dictator, and his minions, have some trust issues which we need to be aware of.

But through all this murky drama, the one constant, the one beam of light, has been the Canadian Progressive Front. Primarily through the efforts of Plugson & Crisfire, we have made this an issue, standing alongside Tyrael and our fellow eCanadian soliders in the Night’s Watch. It is not enough that Canadian Progressive Front’s own militia, the Praetors, has funding. We are not satisfied to just sit on our laurels and know that our own are looked after. We want to see all Military Units treated fairly and justly.

When next Wednesday, the 25th rolls around and you choose a party or candidate to vote for, please remember the Canadian Progressive Front and its quest for a more fair and equitable society. Putting eCanada first!
