Turning Point

My fellow eCitizens,

I’ve held off writing articles on anything of late because I hoped the current issues would go away like most petty drama and we could move past this, but it’s too apparent that the failings in our real society have stained this community as well. This is a long one, so for those of you with short attention spans, I’m sorry. I, for one, am growing very tired of it. I am speaking as myself, not as the Fed Party President here. We in the Fed Party try our darndest to keep Country over Party over Self. We fail at times but we strive for that core value. This article is MY small and humble attempt to try to help the country.



I'm Tired

I’m tired of the two top tier drama figures in our current climate fighting each other over nonsense.

I’m tired of the Groot vs 50 other people nonsense.

I’m tired of the constant mean language directed at each other and long for political discussions without hateful rhetoric that brings us all down and leaves those good minded people wondering why they should remain.

I’m tired of seeing DMJ have to lose his mind to keep people decent and follow simple instructions in Congress.

I’m tired of seeing our handful of infamous trolls constantly bringing negative and mean spirited action into our community.

I’m tired of the old veterans not truly listening to the younger and returning lower level players who offer VALID complaints, that if we as a community truly cared, we could change with congressional votes and PP leadership to their members.

I’m tired of the concept that this is how it’s always been done so that’s how it will be.

I’m tired of seeing the same people like/endorse articles only on “their side” even when the articles are truly great.

I’m tired of the mindset that if you like a comment on someone’s article that is against your side, they become your enemy.

I’m tired of the rampant partisanship that exists in our real world spilling into the game to force sides.

I’m tired of many older players sharing their misery and hatred of the game which spreads to all around, most importantly to the 1-2 new players a month and the returning players.

I’m tired of the in-game Congress threads where it’s always the same people saying the same things every term, fighting the same worthless fights over and over not listening to each other at all. I’ve reported it as spam and don’t see them anymore.

And most importantly, I’m just tired of logging on the game and looking to see what person was mean to another person who they’ve never met, don’t really know, and could add pain/misery to their day.

What I See Now

When I returned 8 months ago or so I was approached by the Feds who brought me in. They have welcomed me and allowed me to use my time and effort to help the party and have proudly served as their PP for these past two terms. I’ve even faced accusations of being a multi because the Feds would never let an “outsider” come in and be their PP. You clearly don’t know the Feds if you feel this way. I’ve also learned throughout all of history to never hold onto “power” too long so I’m stepping down as PP to allow another to take up the mantle and keep working.

When I returned and joined the Feds, I found that my position with other parties had been in many ways predetermined :

They have relationships with SFP so they welcomed me in as a friend when I first returned and have been nothing but that since.

They had struggles with BSP so I was seen as a multi/bot by HWF and the like for many months. I have become friendly with a few of their members but truly wish their party wasn’t as negative as they are and got more involved in actually doing the work that needs to be done.

They have a feud with WTP so I was seen as an enemy and per Dom (a Gnil multi/bot).

They have a unique and positive relationship with USWP but so do I as their long time ago PP.

I found people treating me differently and making vast assumptions about my game play/style/goals/etc because I was in their party. This partisanship must stop. There are a few “power players” in each top party. Many of them spend most of their time attacking others instead of building a positive community which attracts people. This needs to stop.

So what can be done?

We now enter the ideas section of the article and these are just ideas...so leave your trolling to yelling at your mother for meatloaf from your basement.






We need more “national” institutions to bring people together.

A highlight of mine was starting an MU (which was wrongly assumed to be a Fed MU) and bringing in people from many parties including WTP, SFP, FED, USWP, AMP, etc.
This showed me how people can lose their party identities and meet other people, work together, and have fun. This could be the program Max wrote about. Why not try, no harm in trying.

We could bring back a Joint Chiefs of Staff type group that doesn’t leave ALL of our foreign policy and military decisions to the same handful of people. We need to have leaders of all parties WORKING TOGETHER instead of flipping from one side to the next. We are too small of a community for this elitism/isolation.
Commanders of top 10 or so MU’s working with CP and appropriate Cabinet members in a discord room.

We need to make sure no future CP has a “ban” on people from a party helping the executive branch. Many have been guilty of this. This drives a wedge and creates division. It also hurts the transition of job responsibilities and makes the learning curve higher.

All future cabinets should have at least one member from each major party (we have 6 right now whether you like it or not).

Let’s have a Supreme Court law pass through Congress for fun. We can take the BS drama situations and actually turn it into something funny and interesting with a court.

To all of you who say there is no game mechanic for this...there is no game mechanic for Telegram/Discord/Forum/SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE/etc. either. We’ve added those into the game.

Let’s make sure all future CP elections have a true debate article and a media push across the board. Most of us look at the articles posted when we log on to the game and I for one and excited when I see multiple pieces. This should be a job of MU Commanders, PP’s, CP’s, WHPR, and more. Let’s make the game more entertaining and the media module has ALWAYS been a great way to do that. This is a small attempt to stir up that part of the game.

National Raffles. Some of you are loaded...use those funds to create fun for the community. When I had little to no funds I still ran a National Food Drop for many weeks. I consider a “Secretary of Fun” cabinet position to be essential and needed.

These aren’t grand ideas and some have been done, but that shouldn’t stop us from trying again and changing things up. I encourage you to try out your ideas and have congress members in your party propose it. Give congress actual work to do. This game has shrunk considerably but we are still here and why not make the most of it. I will work to accomplish that and I hope many of you will join me in that.

Top Goal: More National Unity

Look to examples in our community of members who aren’t offensive, don’t pick fights, and just do work. Follow this lead, join them, work with them, and build our nation into a place of decency, kindness, respect, and a level of unity in common goals.


Thee Dude from WTP is a shining example of this.


Herr Vootsman from the Feds is a shining example of this.

These two are from “enemy parties” according to many but they both just do work, support the eUS, and are an inspiration of what we should be like as citizens working together.

Every Party has dedicated members who support the eUS before their personal goals.



zRTx from SFP isn’t about party politics. He’s about the business of the eUS even if his statements are as blunt as can be.



Arrden from BSP has reached out to the community many times and will engage anyone 1 on 1 in detailed policy discussions.



Carlos from USWP and now 506 has been a staple of the country doing work for all without picking fights.

These people work for you, the citizens, without looking for attention for themselves. This is what we need.


The following is my favorite speech of all time (look up the context first of the “Great Dictator” to fully understand and enjoy). I find it inspirational and relevant at so many times in history and even this small little game.




I wish nothing but success for us in this game, happiness in making new acquaintances, the ability to heal old wounds from others by the power of forgiveness, and a new age in the eUSA where decency, team work, unity, and kindness actually exist.

If you think this a dream, I ask a simple question. Do you want that though? If you do, fight for it. If you think this is a joke and you would rather be cruel, drop insults on each other, and be a negative influence in the game, I just don’t have time for you and won’t respond to such things and I encourage all of the rest of you to do the same.
