The last a few days, we see a mass attack from many anti-Asteria countries against the USA. Without any other important war going on, all available damage goes to that conflict and huge CO's are spent. Please take a look at the file.....

What we see here is Pacifica and Asteria enemies fighting and spending like there is no tomorrow! At the same time, the few well known heads of Asteria keep all their damage and money, letting all the rest go dry! Asteria enemies will probably get a hard win and I really do nor know how much satisfaction cause after all, the USA is not the real enemy because many of us see the USA as a friend. Asteria will come a few days later, with the minimum cost to liberate their ally and at the end of this situation, we will have for one more time the world balance dramatically turned to the side of Asteria.

Plato starts delivering on the many updates that have been hinted at. Then maybe players will start be more active and driving even more interest in the game (yes, I am a dreamer).
My friend I think that Plato does what he does, just to make sure that all of us that keep playing, will keep paying as well!!!!!!! I am a dreamer too, but I feel that since a long time ago, we are all follow the game of some really few countries that just work the e-world at their will.....

USA and Loland thrived on exactly that misconception for years! They present themselves as some kind of opposition to Asteria and then at every opportunity jump in bed with them to prove their loyalty to masters.
So if you want to have a game that actually has a purpose, delete those that sit on two chairs for years for their own benefit and have fun doing it. It is the best thing you can do at the moment for the game and for both Asteria and AntiAsteria (if that even exists).
I think that this is not a situation of just the 2 countries that you say my friend. All countries more or less have been allies or enemies within the game! Your suggestion could have a point if all countries in the game would take part in this war and the outcome would be uncertain! Have you seen any big Asteria country over-hitting or spending on this war? I feel that all this is just another act of the same scene.... everyone except the main Asteria countries will be exhausted and bankrupted.... after this they will just do whatever they want with minimum or without resistance at all!!!!!! They do this since a lot of time and works just fine!
They do what ever they want anyway. Even when there is a resistance Loland and USA obey and dump their own member to save their a**es. Farmers should play farmville, not eRepublik. Loland and USA with their playing style make this game what it is today.

Allow me to disagree. Plato and the decisions of people in charge, plus the extensive usage of scripts, make the game what it is today. You can't blame any countries for playing the way they are playing. If it works for them it's fair play.
can we blame the big Asteria countries for this? No we can not! They do their part really well, when we alI the rest do not! I think that we should all just try to unite against them, just for the game to have a point! Not because we are the good and they are the bad or the other way around.... just to make a good balance of forces

USA and Loland had years and years to unite with AntiAsteria, but their choice was to sit on two chairs. Just give up, they play this way for more then 6 years, so thinking that you can change that.... well it is naive.
Asteria won eRepublik in a not fair way, but it did.
The proof is that if you check all not-Asteria countries they are all trying to find enemies out of Asteria. In some countries like USA and Poland, because politicians can't admit that the true enemy has already won the game and is unbeatable, or they would not be re-elected, so it's more than 3 years that they try to show people that there are different enemies, some that can be beaten or anyway fought. Other countries like Croatia need to show that they are proud people, so they take revenge on a possible enemy instead of on a not-possible one. Most of little countries enjoy stupid playing like "oh, this week I made more damage than you" or "hey, I got three votes and I took my 25th congress medal - since we're only 15 players - look at how cool I am".
We can debate on who is wrong and who is right for years (and some are willing to do that for true - LOL) but the truth is that we already gave up to the game, that's why countries who should rally and fight the common enemy are just bickering like that.
I think that a good quote about this situation is from Alessandro's Manzoni novel "I promessi sposi" also known as "The betrothed". It's from chapter 3, when Renzo is bringing four tied capons to the lawyer Azzecca-Garbugli, to ask his help against enemies. The description is about the capons, and is pretty much accurate to explain what is happening into eRepublik lately.

This article could mean something, if you wrote it when USA first attacked to CRO.
it is just the same story backwards! it is never too late to correct something wrong!
It wasnt a mistake. You cant attack a country which you share several MPPs by mistake. That attack was a begging from USA to Asteria, saying please let me in. So my friend, please wake up. Maybe you talk to USA top guys and ask what they think. They will probably laugh at you and tell you how naive you are.
just think for a second my friend! all countries have big parts of population that want different things..... some of them are on our side, some of them are on the other side! things roll all the time around! so we just need to make more sides think of the situation with a bit more sense of reality..... I am sure that the same thing exists at your country too! some want me for a friend, some treat me as an enemy and others do not care about me at all! I can not say that your country is my enemy or doesn't care about me or anything else just because of personal actions of some people from your country.... the bigger picture behind all is the most important thing to think about!

United States of Fail and Loland are just Assteria vassals, if you expect from those countries any resistance to Assteria you are naive.
I do not expect something from the 2 countries my friend. I just expect from all those that read the article, to think and propose, what could make the game more balanced and interesting! It is not a problem of the 2 countries..... it's a problem of the game as it is the last a few years....
There are tens, if not hundreds, of articles the last few years with propositions, but they all fall on deaf ears. It doesn't really matter what me, you, or any other player proposes, as long as Plato won't even read them, does it? 🙂

I feel that it is not something to blame them about! They just do what is the best for some of them..... just because some of them work together really good and united. The rest of us, just let our passion go above our mind.......

For me it seems that Anti-Asteria countries realised they stand no chance against Asteria so they go anti-Pacifica instead.
And yes the conclusion of this article is sadly true. The balance could have been restored if Pacifica dared to decide fight Asteria, but with the leadership of Loland and assistance of USA they decided to get rid of the only anti-Asteria country of Pacifica - eHungary.
The balance could have been brought by Pacifica not being the puppet of Asteria - but now this ship is gone and Pacufica-member USA can see how many faks are given by Asteria for her puppets -none.
well I have to say that after many years in the game, I personally feel that Hungary is one of the most reliable countries in this game and proved to be a good friend of my country lately. I can not say for sure that the solution is Pacifica to fight against Asteria right now..... this war has just done things stranger than ever for everyone that is not in the Asteria alliance....... Asteria is just eating pop corn till the show is done and has really nothing to loose no matter what the conclusion of this may be, when everyone else and I mean everyone, will be bankrupt and damage empty..... I think that everyone participating in this war, has to deeply think the next steps really carefully......
Asteria is not only eating popcorm but getting stronger and stronger using the CO spent by both sides at war. I have seen both serbian and romanian damage on both sides - where better CO was set.
Many Hungarians who fought against USA in this war cant forgive that USA voted yes when we were k8cked from Pacifica and it was also a hard-to-forget move when USA attacked CRO instead of defending ally against three different AS from FYROM, Lithuania and Bulgaria. USA attacket CRO and blocked CRO dmg when we were under attack - instead of USA and CRO dmg we get nothing help thanks to the AS put by USA on CRO.
But reliable players of eHUN still did put a stop to those who even wanted setting CO against USA and we hope that good relationship can be restored. But without clearly standing against Asteria politics and methods - neither balance, nor better relationship can't be achieved.
It's nice to have some real fights instead of training wars and "why did you steal my BH" bullshit.
it really is my friend..... it will be even better if we will manage to change the alliances status quo in order for the game to start having a meaning to everyone in it once again!

It sure does my friend! Making the rest of the world a mess needs a lot of good planning and stable inner politics to make it.... this is something that we all the rest should have a lesson for.....
What is balance?
I am not an adequately informed person in eRep diplomacy, I must admit.
That said, from my point of view, the events happening in past a few days don't make much sense.
And, no article floating around or no intelligence leaking is not fully explaining the blank spots.
Perhaps, we have to go back to the basics to unravel the mystery.
There are 4 full-bonus major countries in eRep hosting large number of companies.
Economically speaking, who will benefit most from the demise of eUSA?

Then, everything starts making sense.
If this is the case, then the inevitable question is: who will be the next target of this new form of economic warfare in medium-to-long term?
I am inclined to bet on eRomania.
