POW's 4th birthday

Greetings!



POW’s 4th Anniversary has just come to an end. Our MU was created on 18th June 2009, so 4 years passed by on Tuesday. We decided to celebrate it on Sunday so more people could participate, as the weekdays can be busy sometimes.

And since being prepared is one of the keys to success, we started to invite our guests in advance. It was really heartwarming that most of invited MUs decided to accept our invitation or explain why they could not take part.

So - we have guests, but we still need to host them somewhere. Usually we avoid using Rizon, but this time - with help of Touche_Awaay and Olivaneksa - we managed to bring to life #power quite fast. And most likely thanks to their help it (was actually) working.

The Battle. Picking up the right one isn’t the easiest task. Our opponent had to fulfil some requirements. First of all it had to be something, while at the same time that something had to be in our reach. We’ve started talking with Kreso_101 - we wanted to repay Croatia in some way for being our second homeland for 2,5 years. And there wasn’t possibly better thing to do than liberating some region. But... that would be too easy. We came to conclusion that the best thing to do is to cut Serbian corridor, thus take away their bonuses. And while they’d be busy defending resources, liberating any other regions would come without major problems. Also Serbia is the strongest country in eRepublik, so it was obvious that it would be an important factor for us. Finally we picked Apulia and at 8:30 am (23:30 eR) started resistance war there.



Armed with thousands of weapons, energy bars, bombs (definitely being prepared better than Sauron during siege of Minas Tirith) we went into battle. And since majority of us could be possibly geriatrics’ patients (we have less that 5 fighters in div 2 and 3 and like zero fighters in D1), we knew that winning might not come easy. We all knew that 4th division alone is not enough to win whole battle. Long story short: we cut deep in D4 during first minibattles, while at the same time struggling and trying to win points in lower ones. In the end we managed to win ALL minibattles in D4.

Around 3 am CET (18 eR), after one more win for our side, Serbs stopped supplying this battle. Still it wasn’t The End, since we had to close the battle, while being almost depleted of damage. It was the time when four people (Mlodzian, Dryblas, nikczemny Dev, P0P3j) worked their asses off till 7 am (22 er), searching, buying damage in lower divisions in order to finish the battle quickly.

And finally, thanks to dependable 4th division (we’d like to thank our US friends who helped us a lot during final minibattles) we managed to reach that long awaited End. With final score 90:42 we felt that our win was quite secure.

We did not manage to earn battle hero medals only during 11th and 12th minibattle. Apart of top5 people we can’t forget the ‘silent heroes’, which were not the strongest fighters, yet they burned EBs during that day.

Campaign’s TOP5:



Our 34 soldiers made around 4.1 billion influence, which gives 120 millions per one person. It's an amazing result, I think, especially for such a small military unit.

23 people (out of 34 fighters) reached Top Fighters ranking.
