Perseverance

Day 3,750, 05:52 Published in India Croatia by Anubis.3

Place a stone a day, within a month you have a heap, after a year, a mound. By a decade, a house stands before you. Come a century, you have a mountain.

It has been more than four years since I began my journey in this game. I started out, one of the hundreds of newies trying to find their way in the eworld.

I vividly remember the heroes of old India. Hamturk, Ashwamaedh, Windfall, Lysander, Vigorous among many others. At that time, being a newbie with around 50 strength, I used to wonder what it took to get there - nearly 100,000 strength. That was a great wonder to me, I was on the ground and they were among the stars,

Today, I’ve made it and I know what it took to get there.

A great deal of perseverance.

The person controlling this account today is exactly the same guy who made the registration and trained the first time four years ago. No one else was in charge at any point in the past, My patience - survival - through the first few months got the attention of Vinayak and a few others. He gave me my first gold loan and I started cruising, For that, I’m forever grateful.

I’ve trained through many patches of my life - good and bad. When I had exhausting semester exams, I trained. During the fateful 2015 Chennai floods, my house was flooded twice and yet, I trained. I even kept on training during that final deadly deluge in december 2015, until the cellphone towers finally gave up and blinked out.

I won’t deny that I wanted to quit at many points in this journey. But, despite my feelings, I kept on training. Therein lies a very important message for all of us. Once you decide to do something, you should keep on going. If you do it at least once daily, it’ll add up over the years. Even if you don’t become the best in the world, you will get somewhere.
