Dear citizens of the Netherlands,
Like i said in the interview article by Willem i would be posting an article with some of my ideas/plans.
Now none of these are set in stone and if we get good ideas from the community or a gov member during the term plans can change. But let's take a look at some of the things i would like my government to work on this month:
1. try and get a supply system going again.
With the extra money we earn from the concession deal we have in place i'd like to work with my Ministry of Defense and see if we can work out something for supplies. Some testing/preliminary work has been done in the recent past by tonie on it and we did look at it in my term following that, but due to budgetary limitations we couldn't get anything viable off the ground.
2. Give shawtyl0w a budget and let him work out his idea for rewarding articles.
Shawtyl0w has shown interest in rewarding people that write articles to liven up our media again. While i personally don't think any old article should get a reward, getting something written so it can become a gov (temp/permanent) program and actually rewarding outstanding articles might be a good incentive to keep the media going and thus have some great activity there again.
3. Look at the concessions.
Our current president worked out a deal and it's great for us monetary, but i'd like to take a look if we can actually improve it and perhaps even rent out the other resource we still have.
4. Activity / getting old players back
I personally don't think a babyboom or heavy foreign import will do us any good, i'd like to take a look at trying to get some of our former eNL citizens that are still alive in erep but living abroad back to our beautiful eCountry.
Many of these former citizens are highly active and could bring a great boost in both our national politics and on the battlefield. Even if we only manage to get a couple of them back it will be a boon for us.
5. TW
We currently have a new TW partner that is visiting us by the name of Estonia, but perhaps it might be time for us to branch out and get a 2nd TW going. It might be too much for us to handle, but exploring the option is something i'd like to take a look at.
6. laws
While mostly a congress matter i'd still like to keep a close eye on the proposed law changes that have been promised by some of our older society members, and perhaps help augment some of them. As a multiple time CoC and law abiding citizen i think our laws are important so it's more of a personal project than a gov project but still very important for the future of our country.
Now i think that is more than enough of my ramblings i hope this informs you enough to have an informed vote on the 5th. And if you have any ideas for our government don't be shy and give us a message i promise we don't bite

Didn't expect such progressive thinking 😛 Some interesting ideas that are sound (supply system, media activity, revising concessions) and wondering if they will be realized - especially have my doubts about a supply system. What changed since the mentioned trial I had done (And it's not just about money)?

Like who? These people have been totally detached from society (sometimes even sold accounts) for years and are actually insulted when asked about a possible return to eNL. We have more actual foreigners participating in our society than former eNL citizens. Only one I can think of that would ever return and let him be heard of is perhaps Garmr. How are you gonna convince people like Heikanu, Dave Brinkman, Rineke, Fhaemita and so on to return to the eNetherlands? They no longer have the reason to be abroad for production boni with the holdings - yet it seems they've found their place elsewhere. Once again I'd put more hope in reviving people that died in the eNetherlands.

If you truly think we should do that you have not noticed how much of a mess we are militarily. We already have numerous troubles 'managing' one TW (which by the way is mostly done by the other partner) - let alone a second one. No room for either in our country - especially with concession deal. And don't think about bringing eNL to another place and have the responsibility to be the prime responsible for managing it - we can't. Unless you're thinking about a real war, I'd support 😛

There is a rewriting going on yes, but its (broadly) about modernizing it to 2018 and simplifying it (therefore closing loopholes). Obviously you're well-known with our current laws and our procedural traditions, but I hope you won't fall in the nostalgia of it all. If not, it'd be an happy event to see you thinking along.
Nevertheless good job on pointing out a broad vision for your candidacy and have a good election run!

It probably won't be easy to convince them, but even if we only get a couple it will dramatically improve our activity and fighting power.

I probably know better than most how we are militarily. And that is why i said explore and not jump wildly into a 2nd one. but it might help us on other points, so that is why i'd like to explore the option.
Laws.
I was never opposed to rewriting/reworking our laws.
We will just have to see what they came up with, since before we have even seen anything commenting on it is pointless.

One day, when you become MoD, I will be trash-talking the military every single day, just like you do - and I will be extremely curious, how you will react on that 😉
I don't know why you feel personally attacked. I've never said the Government/MoD is a 'mess' in regards to our military prowess. 'The military' is much more than the MoD - who just works with what potential there is and directs them. 'The military' is a matter of the entire community independent of a Government.
And as I said it's not too rosy in that regard. It's a far cry from the time when we've had 'packplayers' in every Division ready to hold walls when needed. Now we're left with Weekstrom as our sole strong tank and a bunch of people who we impossibly can 'direct' because for all we know they are robots as we never see/hear/are not reliably active. So yeah, I find it hard to believe we can manage multiple TW's in regards to managing walls, getting people to delay battles when needed, fight when prompted. And we're not a fan of CO usage either.
By the way I have been MoD numerous times and also ran our entire military apparatus on multiple occasions (including day-and-night CO management) as government official so I don't see what the jab at me is about. I have applauded you on several occasions on your MoFA/MoD activity, ambition and open communication so I have no beef at all with your work.
As former MoD, you should therefore know, that MoDs should be ready to not only guide, but also protect national army. Just as CP has the same with citizens. When someone will write a comment saying "eNetherlands Is a stupid country", CP should be the first to protest that. And when someone says "Dutch military Is a mess, they cannot even manage TW", I, as MoD, should be here to protest that on behalf of our army. Otherwise... who will do that? Why should I even exist, if I would not care about the army? Would you, as MoD, tolerate people saying army is badly managed? I Hope not...
Sure, we are not the best and brightest, many players perform below their limits... but saying we cannot even manage to have a TW and Estonia runs it all for us, is simply not true and it devalues all the work government members of NL are doing at that regard. If you do not respect that work... well, we can simply stop it. And I am curious, how Estonia manages to inform our people on country feed about orders, when they cannot access it 😉
Also: 2nd TW I do not personally support, and the ability to use CO would be welcomed. Just as aerial subsidies, but I already work on that, as you know
Good luck trying to get me to come back. there are too many people who are petty and vindictive about things that happened more then 5 years ago and who are unable to move forward but only look backwards. I've seen from my time as CoC the last couple of months that there is no reason for me to return. Besides that, I am going to be president tomorrow in Czech Republic.

Also point 5. 2nd TW. --> makes us more attractive in terms of citizenship country. Maybe it will boost our active player base 🙂

Using extra income? Sounds nice. However I've often heard you write about all kinds off plans on several occasions. I don';t recall a single one of them being actually shown let alone exectuted. Or it must have been a forum law or something like that. In game however, and that's where it's about: Never. So what will it make different this time?
yes use the extra income (if we can get a viable plan within budget limitations).
and well just because you might not remember or have seen any of my previous plans put into action that doesn't mean none of them have. altough as far as i know, i don't believe i've ever put forth any set in stone plans in any of my previous campaigns. and there is a simple reason for that, i've seen so many people campaign with this or that and in the end none of their promises came to fruition. so i'd rather put forth some idea's that we can work on but if needed also drop without breaking promises to my voters.
The only thing that springs to mind that was set in stone would probably be making sure the EF is actually an EF and filled to a point that if we need to break it open it actually is useful. But that was more of a MoF plan/promise and not a cp thing.
