War is a constant presence in erepublik, it exists as a background hum to the daily proceedings. As is increasingly the norm, most wars are milking wars designed to move regions from hand to hand and give citizens the gold and sport they desire. Real wars is how the game is meant to be played, where two sides genuinely fight and seek to dominate the battlefield. Now we have the opportunity to take part in a real war.



One of our oldest allies, Indonesia came under attack by Australia a couple days back. The attack was a surprise one The initial battles happened late in the night when most Indonesians were sleeping and ended in an Australian victory. Presently, intense, pitched battles are being fought on the islands in the Malabar straits.



As with all desperate situations this one throws up an opportunity. For us to come to the aid of an old ally. It's time to show to the world that eIndia supports her allies and will help when it's needed the most. Help is needed, in both ground and air battles across all divisions. The Indian government will sponsor the travel costs of any citizen who goes and deals significant damage in an Indonesian ground battle. Please send the screenshot of the same and the cost will be reimbursed.

For a while, we have invested heavily in our Air Force, putting in food and various incentives to bring fighters to air battles. This investment was made for a good reason – to prepare our forces for a real war and such a war has come and it's time for us to project our power.

As president, I announce that the regular IAF weekly leaderboards will be replaced with new leaderboards, devoted entirely to Indonesian air battles. As in the old leaderboards, citizens will be ranked based on the amount of damage they do in battles. The difference would be that you have to fight in an Indonesian air battle. In addition, we will be providing 2 Q2 food for every kill made in these battles. To get your rewards, take screenshots of your damage and kills after each battle and save them. At the end of each week (Saturday/Sunday), send those screenshots to Calvin, Visor of Blades or to myself.

The regular leaderboards will go on until Tuesday and will be temporarily suspended. The new leaderboards are effective immediately. Information on the Indonesian battles will be provided regularly, either on our Discord channels or on the Indian wall.
